The opportunity

Our Studio+ GDS Poland team is seeking a highly qualified Innovation and Experience Senior Design Manager, who will be expected to dedicate at least 70% of their working time on site at the client’s premises in Abu Dhabi.

You will take up opportunities in Digital Product Design, Customer Experience Strategy, User Experience Design and User Interface Design. You will lead the end-to-end creation of digital products, managing every phase from initial discovery through delivery. This includes developing proposals, shaping digital concepts, conducting discovery and research, facilitating workshops, mapping out user flows, designing high-fidelity interfaces, building prototypes, testing solutions, launching products, and continuously optimizing their performance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Partner closely with executive stakeholders and global clients, offering expert guidance in value proposition design, leading advanced discovery workshops, and aligning user experience strategies with overarching business objectives through evidence-based research, user interviews, and rigorous usability testing.
  • Architect and deliver sophisticated UX/UI solutions by shaping end-to-end design strategies—developing user journey maps, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes—while personally overseeing and executing each phase of the digital product design process to ensure cohesive and impactful platform experiences.
  • Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to a senior team of designers, setting a high bar for design excellence, guiding critical decisions, and driving the strategic direction of complex projects from conception to delivery.
  • Collaborate seamlessly across multidisciplinary teams—including developers, business analysts, and product owners—to champion the integration of design strategy into platform development, address technical challenges, and ensure the final solutions deliver tangible business value and exceptional user experiences.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proficiency in design thinking methodologies and user-centered design principles.
  • Open mind, deep diving into the challenges and eagerness to constantly learn and self-develop.
  • Ability to employ latest Agile & Lean UX methods and work with Business, Project & Development, BA teams to create and deliver Design, UI & UX offerings.
  • Understanding the limitations of client/ internal tech stacks, ecosystems or business model and provide design advice where necessary.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Full working proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Over 15 years in design, including 5+ years leading UX/UI projects and teams.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your UX/UI design work.
  • Experience developing and implementing digital product and customer experience strategies, aligning design initiatives with broader business goals.
  • Ability to design and facilitate workshops.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Professional experience within the MENA sector
  • Knowledge of user research, usability testing, analytics, and metrics.
  • Design Systems and prototyping abilities.
