Role Summary
The Manager - Configure Price Quote (CPQ) will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives to design, implement, and optimize CPQ solutions for clients across industries. This role requires strong functional and technical expertise in CPQ platforms, pricing strategy, and sales operations. The Manager will work closely with cross functional teams to streamline quoting processes, enhance pricing accuracy, and improve customer experience. The role also includes oversight of project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
CPQ Solution Design & Implementation
- Design, configure, and implement CPQ solutions tailored to client business requirements, functional design, process flow design, user story development.
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Analyse existing pricing models, discount structures, and approval workflows to identify optimization and automation opportunities.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance quote accuracy, reduce cycle times, and improve sales productivity.
- Establish governance frameworks and best practices for pricing and quoting processes.
Client Advisory & Project Delivery
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders on CPQ transformation, sales process improvement, and configuration strategies.
- Develop project plans, manage timelines, and ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Prepare and present business cases, solution roadmaps, and performance insights to senior leadership.
Team leadership & Practice development
- Lead & mentor a team of consultants and analysts to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide training, enablement, and documentation to client teams on CPQ tools, features, and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of accelerators, frameworks, methodologies, and best practices within the practice.
- Support business development activities, including proposal development, solution design, and thought leadership creation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of overall experience, including a minimum of 7 years in CPQ implementation, sales operations, pricing, or related consulting roles.
- Experience delivering large-scale CPQ or sales transformation programs within consulting environment.
- Knowledge of advanced pricing methodologies, discounting structures, approval workflows, and sales governance processes.
- Technical Skills: Strong expertise in leading CPQ platforms (Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, SAP CPQ) with a solid understanding of integration with CRM and ERP ecosystems.
- Analytical Skills: Deep understanding of pricing strategies, product configuration logic, quoting processes, and analytical frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams and client engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with automation, AI-enabled pricing engines, and next-generation CPQ capabilities.
