The opportunity

Join EY’s International Tax Advisory Services – ITS - group as a Senior Manager where you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive tax solutions to some of the world’s largest multinational corporations. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate with a talented team to tackle intricate domestic and international tax challenges, helping clients navigate and integrate various tax aspects into a cohesive, benefit-oriented strategy.

As a Senior Manager, you will take the lead on multiple complex tax engagements, offering innovative planning ideas and tailored solutions. You will also actively manage client relationships, ensuring that our diverse clientele receives exceptional service and strategic guidance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Advising Canadian and foreign companies on domestic and foreign tax implications of their operations
  • Working with foreign colleagues located throughout the global EY network to develop innovative tax solutions
  • Providing timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations.
  • Enhancing technical skills by remaining up to date on trends, new legislative developments, and tax authority decisions, and applying them to complex situations relevant to the client
  • Identifying opportunities for providing tax planning and other special services
  • Demonstrating professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products
  • Participating in and contributing to achieving team goals
  • Proactively managing client accounts to ensure engagement metrics are achieved
  • Coaching and mentoring more junior staff to execute assignments with accuracy and completeness

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 7 or more years of Canadian Corporate Tax experience
  • 5 or more years in Canadian International Tax or Transaction Tax is recommended
  • A relevant undergraduate degree
  • Completion of the at least one of the following – a CPA designation, Master of Taxation, LLM Tax, or a JD or LLB and be a member in good standing with the Law Society

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.

  • Vancouver: $128,000 to $178,000
