Consulting- Risk Academy –Senior Manager
As part of our Risk Consulting team, our clients look for EY’s expertise across the Consulting solutions and specifically for engagements related to Internal Audit, Process compliance and reviews, SOX 404 and, Developing Standard Operating Procedure manuals, Third Party Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management.

The opportunity
We’re looking for ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR with expertise in Internal Audit and Internal Controls to join the leadership group of our EY-Risk Academy Team. This is partial client-facing role in a rapidly growing practice, focusing on delivering risk-related learning solutions to our clients. This role blends practice-building, go-to-market ownership, and engagement delivery requiring deep risk expertise, commercial acumen and strong learning design sensibilities.
Your key responsibilities
Market Leadership
- Define development and growth strategies and service offerings for the solution and align the operating model as the solution evolves
- Pursue market opportunities, and lead pursuits/ proposals.
- Build strong relationships with account teams and support them to drive pipeline growth.
- Support the practice in developing thought leadership content and other innovation initiatives from time to time.
Solution Development
- Lead design and development of innovative, scalable learning products.
- Ideate and integrate technology-driven solutions to optimize the learning experience
- Act as an SMR and support in developing learning content
- Establish methodologies, quality standards and delivery frameworks for learning products and services.
Client Management
- Manage internal and external stakeholders and develop strong working relationships with the client and onshore client teams.
- Anchor conversations with clients’ senior management executives
Engagement delivery
- Identify learning needs basis inputs from global leaders and clients and plan and prioritise development of learnings
- Oversee development of learning products and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for digitisation and integration of various learning modalities.
- Lead engagements and supervise engagement teams.
- Ensure quality, brand and regulatory guidelines are met on all engagements.
- Closely monitor projects, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Anticipate and identify engagement related risks and escalate issues as appropriate on a timely basis.
- Conceptualise new programs and lead development and implementation of such programs
- Emerge as a key facilitator for learning programs
- Conceptualize and collaborate with internal teams to run internal campaigns
- Monitor and report on internal KPIs
Operational
- Ensure compliance with risk management strategies, plans and activities of the firm.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team
- Manage the engagement budgets and support superiors in developing marketing collaterals, business proposals and new solution / methodology development.
- Suggest ideas on improving engagement productivity and identify opportunities for improving client service.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk domains and current regulatory and market trends.
- Understanding of learning principles, curriculum design and modern learning technologies and trends.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to craft solutions and lead proposals.

- Strong project management and problem solving skills.
- Exceptional command on spoken and written English.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- CA or Master’s degree in business administration or Risk management
- 12+ years of Risk Advisory (preferably Internal Audit/ Internal Controls) experience with a Big 4 or comparable professional services environment with
- Experience in a leadership or practise-building role is preferred
- Experience in designing and facilitating technical learning solutions is preferred
