The opportunity

Join EY Consulting as a Senior Consultant specializing in HR consulting services. In this role, you will participate in consulting businesses on various HR-related issues, conducting labor market studies, ensuring you stay current with the latest trends and practices in personnel management. You will engage in interesting projects with leading private and state-owned companies, as well as government bodies and institutions across Azerbaijan, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients to support new opportunities and ongoing engagements.
  • Contribute expertise in HR consulting projects and lead workstreams within the broader projects across HR, workforce strategy, or organizational development.
  • Conduct research, diagnostics, interviews, workshops, and data analyses to develop insights and recommendations.
  • Create highquality deliverables (reports, presentations, etc.) that meet consulting standards and client requirements.
  • Plan and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables for assigned workstreams. Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation actions proactively.
  • Support proposal development, client pitches, and creation of new consulting offerings.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge creation, methodologies, and bestpractice tools.
  • Conduct market research and publish insights or internal thought leadership when needed.
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues, providing guidance on work quality and professional development.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Higher education in HR or general management, sociology or economics/finance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in personnel management, preferably in compensation & benefits, talent management or learning & development. At least 3 years of experience in HR consulting or business consulting with a focus on HR-related services.
  • Understanding different areas of HR management and knowledge of the specifics of conducting research studies.
  • Understanding of the current market situation and trends, knowledge of global HR trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver highquality work under deadlines
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, Azerbaijani, and Russian.
  • Possession of any HR certification will be an advantage.
