Your new job | About your main responsibilities
Global Business Services (GBS) is a strategic solution at EY and we are expanding our GBS advisory team both in The Netherlands and globally.
As part of the GBS Advisory team at EY, you will play a pivotal role in driving transformation projects for some of the world's most recognized brands. Based in The Netherlands, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to lead GBS initiatives from strategy development through to implementation, ultimately helping our clients enhancing business performance.
Responsibilities
Commercial:
- As a Director, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with the current leadership team to drive business growth by leveraging your knowledge, expertise, skills, collaborative approach and entrepreneurial mindset.
- You will be responsible for executing the Go-To-Market strategy for GBS in line with the EY GBS solution vision and mission.
- You will grow our business by building and strengthening relationships with external clients and select alliance partners and position EY in the market through thought leadership, targeted client engagement (including in EY wavespace), and GBS client events.
Delivery:
- You will be responsible for the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder projects that improve our client’s business performance. You will deliver high-end quality in every step of our projects and prepare clients for an ‘AI-centric GBS’ in the future.
- You successfully support clients articulate, design, and implement a mission, vision and an operating model for GBS and “case for change” that draws on innovative global technology trends, leading practice and service innovation, and aligns to the enterprise strategy.
- You will oversee and ensure the successful execution of end-to-end GBS transformation programs, while actively managing and mitigating risks.
- You will build and lead High-Performing teams: Motivate and manage diverse, high-performing teams aligned with EY’s values. You are a true people manager and can bring the EY Transformative Leadership model to life.
- You will lead GBS Transformation and Transition initiatives: Collaborate with clients to assess their needs including current GBS scope, capabilities and delivery model, to frame the future ambition, develop and implement GBS operating models, processes and governance structures that align with clients’ business objectives
- You will contribute to develop GBS related thought leadership, organize and deliver client roundtables and relevant event.

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution
- 12+ years of relevant experience, including several years of experience in working in The Netherlands.
- Strong industry network to leverage to generate business opportunities
- Strong knowledge and experience of: GBS trends, priorities, challenges, strategies, operating models, performance management, holistic technology enablement
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with the whole GBS evolution lifecycle
- GBS assessment and strategy
- GBS design
- GBS build
- GBS implementation (incl. transitions)
- GBS continuous improvement
- Awareness of industry trends and enabling technologies such as ServiceNow.
- Knowledge and experience within the field of GBS particularly and specific experience in orchestrating the improvement or (bold) transformation improving and/or automating one or more of the following of end-to-end processes such as
- Order to Cash
- Source to Pay
- Hire to Retire
- Record to Report
- Forecast-to-Fulfil’
- Enterprise Master Data
- Etc.
- Knowledge and experience on GBS enabling capabilities (e.g., process and service excellence, continuous improvements, analytics CoE, etc)
- Proven ability in managing multiple engagements and stakeholders, surpassing client expectations, handling budgets, and effectively mitigating risks
- Extensive experience in leading business development, building networks, identifying opportunities, responding to RFPs, and presenting at events
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to storyboard and create high quality outputs
- Track record of managing professional services staff, including coaching and developing staff and building teams
- Fluent written and spoken English. Proficiency in Dutch or French is a significant advantage
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience with ServiceNow in complex, Enterprise environments.
- A focus on a specific industry within GBS is an added advantage.
