The opportunity
EY’s Software and IT Asset Management (SAM) team is a rapidly growing and high performing team, working with some of the world’s largest companies in a niche sector offering.
We have a few work streams, ranging from software license compliance work with major global software vendors, to helping EY clients on matters including improving their processes/governance policies and establishing future focused strategies around software consumption and setting up managed services.
Across all the work streams, you will be given a large degree of autonomy and responsibility to lead meetings, identify issues and propose solutions. You will work with, and get to know, senior stakeholders in the software vendors, and at EY clients/vendor customers, up to board level.
We provide trusted communications focused on facts and data to management, customers and other stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities
- Apply advanced technologies to analyse and design end-to-end business processes. Identify inefficiencies using quantitative and qualitative techniques, support large-scale data collection, and implement optimal business processes to mitigate identified risks across various domains (operational, legal, reputational, regulatory, economic, etc.)
- Perform risk assessments based on contract terms and conditions
- Extract data and perform data analytics to quantify the financial and operational compliance with the contract
- Summarization and reporting of complex and disparate datasets via dynamic dashboards using Power BI
- Administration and support of Software discovery tools (such as: SCCM, BDNA, Flexera, Service Now)
- Assist in Infrastructure upgrades, security compliance and remediation
- Effective communication between EY & Clients for a productive collaboration
- Working on multiple projects with shifting priorities
- Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, model project strategies and delivering results in challenging situations
- Foster and develop strong networks (local, area, global) with key service line champions in the firm
- Work with project managers to ensure that all project deliverables are on time and high quality
Skills and attributes:
To qualify for the role you must have:
- A graduate degree or higher
- 1 - 6 years of SAM or Software License Compliance
- A good experience of working with BI Tools (such as Power BI)
- A good experience of working with Software Discovery tools (such as Flexera, BDNA, SCCM, Service Now)
- Knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization technologies, network topologies, software vendor license agreements and licensing terms
- Understanding of IT Processes, IT Infrastructure (applications, databases and operating system) and related technologies i.e. Oracle, Windows, Linux etc.
- Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills including the ability to analyse complex and disparate data sets using a combination of pivot tables and functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good attention to detail
- Works well in a diverse team and enjoys a dynamic environment where remote working is required
Ideally, you’ll also have
- CSAM/ISO 19770/ITAM/BSA SAM qualification preferred
- Project Management certification PMP/PRINCE2 (preferred)
- IT Vendor Certification e.g. Microsoft Certified Professional
- Big 4 experience and training
