Job Description: Senior Manager – Capital Markets (Calypso Specialist)
Job Purpose
As a Senior Manager – Capital Markets (Calypso Specialist), you will lead complex Capital Market core-modernisation and migration initiatives with a strong focus on Calypso (V14+). You will drive solution design, functional leadership, and integration strategies across Trade, Static, and Reference Data domains. The role demands deep expertise in front-to-back trade lifecycle management, strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, and proven leadership in managing and mentoring high-performing teams. You will represent the Capital Markets Technology practice in senior client discussions, articulate solution approaches, and provide strategic guidance to clients on Calypso implementation, modernization, and transformation programs.
1. Work Experience Requirements
a. Functional Experience
• 15+ years of experience in Capital Markets with extensive exposure to the end-to-end trade lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of:

Securities trading, settlements, confirmations, reconciliation, and clearing.
Middle oƯice processes—trade validation, enrichment, allocation, exceptions, reporting.
Regulatory reporting & compliance requirements across asset classes.
• Demonstrated ability to interact and lead discussions with trading desks, operations, product control, compliance, and risk teams.
• Proven experience in delivering transformation, modernization, or complex migration programs.
• Ability to define integration strategies for Trade, Static, and Reference Data across Calypso and upstream/downstream systems.
• Strong capability to define and build frameworks for Trade, Static & Reference Data integration within Calypso.
• Expertise in discussing Middle OƯice (MO) functionality requirements with business stakeholders and translating them into Calypso solutions—both
out-of-the-box and custom.
b. Technical Experience
• Extensive implementation and architecture experience in Calypso (preferably V14+), specifically:

System configuration across trading, static data, settlement, and MO modules.
Workflow design, exception management, and event frameworks.
Integration patterns with upstream/downstream systems and data platforms.
• Hands-on experience in:
Trade processing engines
Static & reference data frameworks
Interfaces, APIs, ISO15022/20022, FIX messaging
• Ability to design and review functional & technical architecture for end-to-end Calypso implementations.
• Deep exposure to Agile project delivery, design workshops, and
cross-functional collaboration.

• Deep understanding of market data, static/reference data configuration, and data modelling.
• Strong know-how of databases, infrastructure, app servers, security, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in writing integration specifications & designing API-driven solutions.

3. Leadership Responsibilities – Senior Manager
• Lead Calypso implementation teams (Functional, Technical, QA, Integration).
• Mentor, coach, and upskill consultants and managers on Calypso and Capital Markets domain.
• Allocate and manage resources, drive performance reviews, and support talent development.
• Act as a thought leader for Calypso modernization initiatives and solution
accelerators.
• Manage client relationships at senior levels; lead workshops, solution sign-oƯs, and steering committee discussions.
• Ensure delivery excellence through governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Drive reusable assets, frameworks, and best practices for Calypso projects.
• Support business development through solutioning, RFP responses, and proposal creation.
4. Preferred Work Location
• Flexible to work from any EY GDS oƯice in India.
5. Education & Experience
• MBA / MCA / BE / BTech or equivalent.
• 15+ years of overall experience with strong focus on Capital Markets and Calypso implementations.
