Senior Associate – Facilities, Safety and Security
Rank 65 / Grade 3
Under the guidance of the WES Leader – the Senior Associate for Facilities, Safety and Security is
responsible for overseeing the overall facility operations, safety and security of EY GDS
Philippines Cebu center. This role ensures smooth facility operations by managing critical
equipment, supervising service providers and maintaining the safety and security of employees,
assets and premises. It oversees daily activities related to facility maintenance, workplace
experience, and regulatory compliance, and works with outsourced partners and law enforcement
when needed. The role is also responsible for developing and enforcing safety and security
standards to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
Facilities Management
• Oversee day‑to‑day facility operations to ensure uninterrupted business activities.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems and critical
equipment.
• Monitor performance of service providers, vendors and contractors to ensure agreed
service levels.
• Ensure the workspace is clean, functional and conducive to employee productivity.
• Support space planning, workplace improvements and minor project implementations.
Safety & Compliance
• Implement and enforce safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local building, fire, health, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Lead incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action planning.
• Support emergency preparedness programs (fire drills, evacuation plans, emergency
response).
Security Operations
• Oversee day‑to‑day security operations in coordination with the security service provider.
• Manage access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and incident logs.
• Implement and enforce security standards, protocols, and incident response procedures.
• Protect employees, visitors, assets, and sensitive areas of the facility.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and external agencies on security matters when
required.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Manage third-party service providers (security, IFM vendor, etc.).
• Monitor compliance with contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as WES, IT, Talent, BCP, Risk and Procurement.
• Ensure timely communication and escalation of issues affecting people or premises.

Operational Planning & Reporting
• Support the development and execution of facility and security improvement plans.
• Prepare and maintain operational reports, incident logs, permits, and compliance
records.
• Track operational expenses and support budget planning when required.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and workplace
experience.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities or Property Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in facilities management, safety, or security
operations.
• Experience working with outsourced service providers (security, IFM vendor).
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Certifications in facilities, safety, environmental or security (e.g., BOSH, PCO, CSP,
Facility Management) are an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong operational and coordination skills.
• Excellent understanding of facility systems (HVAC, electrical, fire systems).
• Ability to manage multiple vendors and oversee large-scale operations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
