The opportunity
The objective of our advisory services is to provide clients with a candid and reliable
overview of their Risk and Regulatory landscape. Our solutions can be used by our clients to build confidence and trust with their customers, the overall market and when required by regulation or contract. You will be responsible for executing client related engagements.
The role will be based in our Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Pakistan (Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad) and will support client engagements across the MENA region.

Your key responsibilities
You will be responsible for effectively engaging with clients and executing engagements under the supervision of Senior Managers/Partners. You will be engaged in Client Engagements in the following areas:
- You will primarily work as part of our Financial Sector team
- You will help our client in areas relating to business risk services such as regulatory risk reporting, BASEL, capital adequacy and stress testing, Enterprise Risk management (ERM), Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), compliance risk, business process management, policies and procedures, corporate governance etc.
- Digital banking – Candidates who have worked in digital banks or were involved in establishing digital banks
Moreover, you will assist Managers/Partners with business development proposals on existing / new clients along with driving innovation in service delivery; ensure delivery is in line with firm’s Quality and Risk management requirements/expectations. Further, you will be responsible to assist Managers/Partners in developing/refreshing methodologies related to our existing/new solutions. You must contribute to various firm wide initiatives like learning and development (L&D) programmes, campus recruitment, knowledge sharing, practice development and growth under guidance of Managers.
You also must take up project execution responsibility in a team or individually as per requirements and work plan, review work done by sub-ordinates (if any) and provide qualitative inputs before submission of deliverables to seniors/client due to sensitive information towards EY code of conduct, values, and quality standards.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance and Accounting
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA or MBA in Finance.
- At least five years of relevant experience in a Financial Institution (banks, insurance etc.) in a similar role. Big4 firm experience is advantageous.
- Candidates who have worked in a Financial institution in the areas pertaining to regulatory and compliance risk reporting
- Experience with BASEL calculations and reporting, capital adequacy and stress testing
- Experience in implementing ERM including hands on with all related documentation, maintaining risk frameworks, risk reporting, etc.
- Candidates having Internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) / COSO experience in banking sector
- Corporate governance, policies and procedures etc.
- Digital banking – Candidates who have worked in digital banks or were involved in establishing digital banks
- The ability, and willingness to travel within the Middle East as per the project requirements
- Flexibility to work in teams with diverse background
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and writing).
