Provide clients with strategic advice on a variety of corporate financing alternatives including mergers and acquisitions and capital raises by leading highly focused industry teams. Lead teams in executing investment banking engagements by analyzing financial performance, identifying key trends macro and industry trends impacting the business prospects, assist in developing forecast assumptions with senior team management. Prepare reports, including information memoranda that set out the business plan and assess the future prospects of the enterprise. Perform extensive financial analysis, valuation analysis and pro forma financial modeling. Identify key issues and potential areas of risk that could impact the outcome of the transactions. Direct teams in performing in-depth sector market and company-specific research. Identify prospective investors and buyers for M&A and capital raising mandates. Supervise, coach and mentor vice presidents, analysts and associates in preparing compelling pitch books offering descriptive memoranda and related materials for M&A and capital raising mandates.
Lead, direct and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress of all other team members including VPs, junior associates and analysts. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Lead client management throughout transaction lifecycle, providing strategic financial advisory and transaction structuring recommendations.
Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services. Generate and manage new business opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field plus 7 years of experience involving quantitative and qualitative analysis (5 of which must be progressive, post-baccalaureate experience). Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in accounting, Economics, Finance or related field plus 5 years of work experience involving quantitative and qualitative analysis experience.
Must have 5 years of experience in investment banking specific to mergers, acquisitions and capital markets.
Must have 5 years of experience in identifying transactions and leading a team in execution of the transaction.
Must have 5 years of experience in developing investment banking deliverables, including offerings memoranda, management presentations and pitch materials.
Must have 5 years of experience in valuation techniques and methodologies, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Income or Asset Approaches, and/or Market Comparables, in one or a combination of the following:
- in a national valuation, investment banking, commercial banking, accounting, and/or financial research firm; and/or
- in a corporate finance or business development roles for a corporate organization.
Must have 5 years of experience working in a project-based team environment.
Must have 5 years of experience in financial modeling including experience building models in MS Excel or related software.
Must have 5 years of experience in creating industry overview reports that summarize trends and the competitive landscape.
Must have 5 years of experience in creating pitch books and memos for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising mandates for companies in the healthcare and/ or life sciences industry.
Must have 5 years of experience managing at least 2 team members and ensuring completion of work deliverables.
Must have 3 year of experience managing banking engagements for M&A and capital markets transactions.
Must have 3 years of experience working with clients in the healthcare and/ or life sciences industry in a project-based team environment.
Must have an active SIE, Series 79 or Series 63 securities licenses.
Travel required up to 25%, of which 5% may be international.
