EY, a global leader in Assurance, Business Consulting, Tax, Strategy and Transactions, and Law services, is looking for an Assistant Manager or a Manager to join our growing Financial Accounting Advisory practice in Sofia.

The opportunity:

Our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team is looking for Assistant Manager/ Manager to join our growing team of finance and business consultants. Working across all industries, you’ll boost your career by setting and communicating creative and strategic goals both internally and externally. It’s all about listening to and understanding our clients to give them truly exceptional experience in a field where there really are no off-the-shelf recommendations.

To qualify, candidates should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, we will accept a Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field and 4 years of work experience.
  • At least 3 years of recent experience in the planning, execution, and reporting of audits for financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP;

or

  • 3 years of recent experience in providing financial reporting advisory services with emphasis over finance and business transformation/optimization projects, internal audit, risk identification, assessment and mitigation, internal control system and process improvement and optimization for multinational and local clients.
  • Excellent project management skills. Any relevant project management experience and qualifications will be considered as an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bulgarian and English (other languages are going to be considered a plus)
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and willingness to be part of a regional team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills/team player
  • Attention to details with a commitment to high quality and accuracy
  • Desire to exceed expectations

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Consulting clients on diverse business and finance transformation engagements including participating in and managing consulting engagements with emphasis on:
    • Diverse business and process improvement and transformation engagements
    • CFO agenda advisory-related topics;
    • Participating in and leading internal audit and risk advisory engagements in both private and public sectors;
    • Project management (PMO) support;
  • Collaborating and working directly with partners, managers/senior managers and clients to influence strategy, balancing risks and client expectations
  • Ensuring our engagement team thoroughly understands our clients’ unique needs, ambitions and expectations
  • Building relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service
  • Managing performance and identifying opportunities to improve our services and processes
