EY’s Entity Compliance & Governance team (ECG) team is looking for a Senior Consultant (designation to be updated as per the jurisdiction) to help manage engagement portfolios and relationships with our clients and local EY networks. This is a great opportunity to join a global professional services firm to work with a variety of clients on exciting global projects.

The opportunity

The ECG team, which is part of EY GDS’s Legal Managed Services, provides technology-enabled and innovative solutions to support multinational clients manage the increasing regulatory and legislative demands they face in respect of their global governance, and fulfilling their statutory compliance and reporting requirements. The team specializes in managing and delivering the outsourced entity management requirements for some of EY GDS’s largest clients in EMEIA, APAC, the Americas, and worldwide. The successful individual will be based in [Location] and will work closely with one or more of the ECG member firms and coordinate with central management teams across locations.

Your key responsibilities

The successful applicant will work on key client accounts, where they will be involved in assisting with the preparation and delivery of the various ECG company secretarial deliverables for the respective client accounts, onboarding of new clients through transition management and knowledge transfer, engagement set-up and in updating technology/ database tools. In addition, a key component of the role will be overseeing and managing the maintenance of the clients’ legal entity management databases as well as the billing process.

As a Senior Consultant (Designation to be updated as per the jurisdiction) you will also be expected to report to the key stakeholders as well as oversee and support the junior consultants in the team. A successful candidate would be responsible for:

  • Drafting and review of various company secretarial documentation including annual compliance and event driven changes deliverables. Supervising client transition and onboarding, ensuring that client information and records on all internal trackers and records are accurate and up to date.
  • Drafting and supervision of documents for conducting health checks, responsible for delivering the documents to EY local offices in this regard;
  • Ensuring client’s information and details on legal entity databases are accurate and up to date;
  • Communicating and collaborating effectively with EY local offices, various central management teams and clients, as needed;
  • Assisting EY local offices with commercial management i.e. working on proposals, pricing requests, scoping, and RFP support, as needed;
  • Assisting and supervising the preparation of the respective country/ jurisdiction playbook and runbook;
  • Supervision and control of client-shared mailbox management
  • Liaising, coordinating, and providing regular reporting to EY local offices;
  • Liaising with other internal EY teams (e.g. EY Law, GCR, etc.); and
  • Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Company secretarial qualification/Law Degree or equivalent educational qualification or higher (respective location/ jurisdiction to insert the required degree/ qualification) 4-5 years of work experience on multi-jurisdictional projects
  • Ability to take ownership and drive tasks through to completion
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of MS office

Skills and attributes, desirable

  • Excellent knowledge of corporate secretarial services and legal entity management
  • Additional language skills
  • Experience of working in a global corporate environment
  • Project Management/Prince 2 certification/other equivalent qualification
