Working as part of the People Advisory Services Tax team, you will support clients with cross border employer and employee tax obligations in relation to their global mobility programmes while building specialist expertise in New Zealand employment tax. This role offers exposure to a broad range of advisory and compliance work, supporting organisations as they manage cross‑border employee arrangements and related tax obligations.
You will be supported through structured training, coaching, and collaboration with experienced professionals, creating an environment where you can continue to develop both technically and professionally. This is an opportunity to grow a long‑term career in a supportive, engaging, and globally connected team.
Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities
You will work closely with colleagues across New Zealand and internationally, supporting client meetings and contributing to high‑quality outcomes for complex client engagements. Alongside your technical work, you will continue to build your skills in a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Contributing to Global Mobility tax engagements, including cross‑border income tax advice, individual tax compliance, and pre‑departure and repatriation tax planning
- Researching and drafting employment tax advice across a range of areas, including PAYE, Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT), ACC, and KiwiSaver
- Working collaboratively within the team by sharing responsibility, communicating effectively, and providing regular updates to senior team members
- Supporting client projects alongside Managers and Partners, and engaging with HR teams, executives, and Boards of major organisations
Ngā Pūkenga | Skills and attributes for success
We recognise that no one meets every requirement, and we encourage applications from individuals who bring different strengths, experiences, and learning goals.
Alongside relevant technical skills, we value attention to detail, the ability to stay productive under pressure, and a genuine interest in developing professionally within this specialist area.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or Law, with strong academic achievement
- A minimum of two years’ relevant post‑graduate experience, ideally within a large organisation, consulting, or professional services environment
- Strong capability with Microsoft systems, particularly Excel, and the ability to manage time effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Motivation to build a long‑term career in Global Mobility and Employment Tax, with the focus and adaptability to perform well in a fast‑paced environment
Our roles can be structured flexibly, including the potential for reduced hours, to support balance between home and office. We welcome conversations about flexible working options as part of the application process.
