US Managing Partner Communications Leader

The Opportunity

EY is seeking a highly strategic executive to lead and deliver comprehensive internal and external communications from the US Managing Partner office. In this pivotal role, you will help shape and deliver a compelling communication strategy while upholding EY's brand and reputation. With previous experience leading Big Four executive communications, your leadership will drive a connected, holistic approach, while leading a high-performing executive communications team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory & Vision: Work closely with the U.S. Chief Communications Officer and serve as a trusted advisor on a compelling and effective communication strategy.
  • Holistic Communications Leadership: Develop and execute an integrated compelling CEO communications and engagement strategy that connects internal and external audiences, leveraging technology and creative channels to deliver streamlined, effective messaging.
  • External Communications: Collaborate with external communications team, overseeing PR, social media, to elevate executive leadership reputation.
  • Team Leadership & Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing communications team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Creative Channel Strategy: Think creatively about communication channels, embracing new technologies and approaches to ensure messages are delivered in the most impactful and efficient way possible.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement: Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of communications strategies, using data to drive continuous improvement and maximize value.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Expertise in developing and executing executive level holistic communications strategies for complex, global organizations
  • Demonstrated success in leading external communications, including PR, social media, and agency management
  • Experience and/or knowledge in regulatory and/or technical communications
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with a track record of empowering high-performing teams
  • Creative, agile, and results-driven, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Mastery of written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Extensive experience (minimum 15+ years) leading executive communications within a professional services environment with 7-10+ years at a Big Four, with expertise in both internal and external messaging.
  • Experience developing governance communications and supporting board level executives.
  • Public relations agency and in-house experience.
  • Proven track record advising senior executives and shaping strategic communications that drive transformation and reinforce organizational priorities.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $192,900 to $381,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $231,400 to $433,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
