Manager – Insurance Business Transformation Strategy & Delivery

The Opportunity

As a Manager – Insurance Business Transformation Strategy & Delivery, you’ll shape and lead material streams of work across the insurance value chain—defining the strategic approach, building delivery roadmaps and business cases, and translating customer and business needs into clear requirements that enable successful solution delivery. You’ll work with stakeholders across multiple product lines, contribute to future-state service design, and play a key role within program governance to drive outcomes on major transformation initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop strategy, delivery roadmaps and business cases for major initiatives, including scope, benefits, dependencies, and sequencing.
  • Baseline current state operating model and develop future-state operating model design across an insurance enterprise or material value chain functions (e.g., Claims, Underwriting)
  • Design material components of future-state service blueprints and user journeys.
  • Lead end-to-end business requirements gathering for assigned streams, ensuring traceability from objectives through to delivery.
  • Provide stream leadership through solution delivery, partnering with technology and delivery teams to enable high-quality outcomes.
  • Support strong program governance through key PMO contributions (e.g., 2IC to a program manager, leading a business case stream, and managing inter-stream dependencies).

Skills and attributes for success

  • Insurance industry experience across multiple product lines (typically 3+ years); exposure across multiple classes is advantageous.
  • Expertise in at least one insurance value chain function, with a confident and growing understanding of end-to-end value chain connections.
  • Proven experience contributing to (and increasingly owning) strategy and/or transformation initiatives across multiple lines and/or value chain stages.
  • Strong operating model, process, and service design capability (baseline assessment, future-state design, and service blueprint/journey contributions).
  • Guidewire and/or Duck Creek hands-on experience and/or certification (highly regarded).
