As part of our EY-GDS D&A (Data and Analytics) team, we help our clients solve complex business challenges with the help of data and technology across Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing and Auto, Supply Chain, and Finance.
The opportunity
We're looking for Senior Managers (GTM + Cloud / Big Data Architects) with strong technology and data understanding and proven delivery capability in delivery and pre-sales.
Your key responsibilities
- Drive Analytics GTM and pre-sales activities including pipeline building, RFP responses, solution creation, workshops, and managing in-flight projects
- Convert business problems into secure, scalable, and high-performance technical solutions
- Understand current and future-state enterprise architecture
- Contribute across technical streams during project implementation
- Provide product- and design-level technical best practices
- Engage senior client technology leaders to architect and deliver solutions
- Define client-specific best practices for data management in Hadoop or cloud environments
- Recommend design alternatives for data ingestion, processing, and provisioning
- Design and develop batch data ingestion using Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Spark
- Develop real-time ingestion using Kafka, Spark Streaming
Skills and attributes for success
- Architecting highly scalable solutions on Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Strong knowledge of cloud and big data ecosystems
- Deep understanding of distributed computing paradigms
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (Python/Scala) and Spark Streaming
- Experience with cloud ETLs, Spark, Databricks
- Experience with NoSQL databases (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB)
- Kafka and Spark integration expertise
- Strong Hadoop ecosystem knowledge
- Experience with Apache Kafka and Flume
- Enterprise-grade solution implementation experience
- Performance benchmarking experience
- Data security knowledge (in motion and at rest)
- Strong UNIX and shell scripting skills
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Flexible, proactive, self-motivated work style
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong consulting and client-facing skills
- Experience across the full big data solution lifecycle
- Risk evaluation and mitigation experience
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in relevant areas
- Minimum 10 years of overall industry experience
