We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Director to help develop and transform our global tax compliance and reporting services.
Your key responsibilities
As a Director, you will play a major role in marketing, onboarding and delivering large scale multi-country tax compliance and reporting engagements as well as leading the wider team of individuals who deliver these services. A significant part of the role will focus on supporting the partner group with transforming how we deliver large scale tax managed services engagements, working closely with our partners who specialise in tax technology and transformation within GCR.
You will also be involved in a diverse mix of other work across our GCR team, including UK tax compliance and there is also a significant opportunity to develop our tax reporting services for clients.
Skills and attributes for success
- Ability to drive change, working with a wide range of individuals across the globe and from other areas of the business to transform and scale tax managed services.
- People management and team leadership capabilities.
- Leading the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence across tax compliance and reporting and a practical/business driven approach to embed best practices.
- Managing the end-to-end process for the clients in your portfolio, which will include opportunity identification and involvement in tender processes, right through to onboarding and delivery; and
- Assisting in winning work by proactively managing existing clients, providing insights to clients on a range of tax issues, and contributing to winning new clients.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- An enthusiastic attitude and flexible approach to work.
- A focus on quality.
- ACA / ACCA / CA / CTA / law or equivalent qualification (or breadth of knowledge equivalent);
- A thorough understanding of UK corporation tax and tax reporting issues.
- Experience of working in a compliance and reporting environment, either within practice or industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- People management and team leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, manage, mentor and train junior staff.
- Large-scale project management experience.
