Your key responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant FAAS // Valuation - September 2026, your responsibilities will be to perform and carry out valuation analysis and reviews of a wide spectrum of assets (Private Equity, Private Debt, as well as Intangible assets) in assessing the reasonableness of valuations and financial models in the context of financial reporting and assurance related engagements.
- Perform valuations for alternative investments e.g. Infrastructure, Private Credit, Private Equity or Venture Capital.
- Lead, coordinate, and develop a team of Assistants, ensuring effective execution of engagements.Build and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess client satisfaction.
- Apply deep understanding of complex valuation concepts to real-world client scenarios.
- Coordinate on-site fieldwork at client locations, liaising with other departments to ensure smooth audit delivery.
- Responsible for contributing to the delivery of one or more processes, solutions and/or projects by delivering agreed activities, applying judgement, and selecting appropriate methodologies to inform recommendations, considerate of success criteria, barriers, risks, and issues.
- Accountable for meeting own targets which impact the immediate team.May help coordinate the work of junior colleagues or team members.
- Meets performance objectives and metrics set locally (client service, quality and risk management, sales and business growth, solution development and teaming etc.)
- Anticipate risk, team effectively across EY and identify opportunities to enhance trust, focusing on:Overall quality, building deep relationships, and value creation through independence and client understanding.
- Account strategy and delivery, maximizing the possibilities from data and technology
Skills and attributes for success - You have 2 – 3 years of experience in a similar role (e.g. Transaction services, M&A, Private Equity, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance);
- Graduate from an economics, business and/or management school with a focus in finance.
- Excellent academic background.
- Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of valuation principles and techniques (income, market approach) with regards to business valuation.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solver, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, autonomous and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Being flexible when adapting to changing client needs and market conditions.
- Ability to manage multiple threads of tasks and / or engagements.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Sound knowledge of recognized valuation guidelines, such as IPEV guidelines.
- Sound knowledge of industry software and tools (i.e. S&P CapIQ, and/or advanced Excel modelling).
- Perfect command of English, both written and verbally, within a professional services business environment.
- Receptive feedback and reflection to develop strengths and address developmental areas.
- Seeks and embraces opportunities to gain exposure to a wide spectrum of reviews.
- Command of French or German language is an asset, and additional language would be considered as a plus.
- PC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Professional qualification in progress (CFA, CAIA, ACA, RICS…) is a plus.
