As a Manager - AI Senior Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative AI solutions for internal use & our clients. You will lead the architecture and implementation of advanced analytics and AI platforms, helping organisations unlock value through emerging technologies including Generative AI.
This is a leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, enabling you to drive transformation across industries. This hybrid role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable AI and data solutions aligned to client business objectives
- Translate complex business problems into innovative AI-enabled solutions and technical blueprints
- Architect and implement GenAI solutions (e.g., LLMs, RAG, copilots) within enterprise environments
- Establish AI engineering standards, governance frameworks, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Lead client engagements, providing trusted technical advisory and thought leadership
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performing team culture
- Stay at the forefront of AI trends and bring leading practices to clients
Skills and attributes for success
- 8+ years of experience in AI, data, or solution architecture
- Proven experience in consulting or complex enterprise environments
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience with MLOps, APIs, and microservices architectures
- Strong experience in designing and delivering AI/ML solutions at scale
- Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern data architectures
- Hands-on experience with GenAI and LLM ecosystems
- Ability to bridge business and technology, translating strategy into execution
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience with responsible AI and governance frameworks
- Relevant cloud or AI certifications
- Prior experience leading teams or large-scale transformation programs
