Technology Consulting business is a fast-growing sub-service line within EY’s Consulting service line. A dynamic group focused on providing high-value independent, trusted advice to clients, with a focus on transformation programmes.

The Digital Business Advisory Practice partners with clients to define, enable, and deliver end‑to‑end Digital, Data and AI transformations, helping organizations modernize their operating models, platforms, and ways of working to deliver measurable business value. Working closely with our industry teams and leveraging The EY brand as an independent, trusted advisor, we support our clients across the full transformation lifecycle, including:

  • Digital, Data & AI Strategy and Transformation Roadmaps: Defining digital, data and AI vision, strategy and transformation roadmaps aligned to business objectives and value realization.
  • Customer Experience Transformation: Designing and enabling digitally enabled, data‑driven customer and employee experiences across channels, leveraging analytics, AI and personalization.
  • Intelligent Automation & AI Enablement: Identifying, designing and supporting delivery of automation and AI use cases optimizing operations while embedding appropriate governance and controls.
  • Operating Model, Governance & Delivery Enablement: Designing target operating models, delivery structures, and governance for digital and AI programs
  • Digital Portfolio, Program & Project Delivery: Leading and supporting end‑to‑end delivery of digital and AI initiatives—from use‑case definition and solution design through to implementation and benefits tracking.
  • Journey Design & Business Case Development: Defining future‑state journeys by establishing the why, what and how of change, and supporting the development of clear business cases and investment rationale.
  • Integrated Delivery & CrossCapability Collaboration: Working with teams across data, cyber, cloud and platform capabilities to pursue and deliver endtoend engagements that bring client strategy and vision to life.
  • Enterprise Uplift & ValueDriven Solution Design: Designing and executing uplift programs, solution approaches and roadmaps that are pragmatic, valuefocused, and costeffective, aligned to client priorities.
  • Data Readiness For AI: Support organizations in assessing and strengthening data foundations for AI adoption, ensuring readiness across data availability, quality, governance, ownership, and operating models to scale use cases through an AI Centre of Excellence.

We are looking for an experienced Lead with a strong track record in delivering largescale change programs, operating in a Business Advisory context with large, recognised organizations in Mauritius and/or internationally. The role requires a practitioner who can bridge strategy and execution, with handson experience supporting platformled and advanced analytics–driven initiatives[AT1] .

Regular travel, locally and internationally, may be needed as part of the day-to-day client work, and at times work from the client site or other EY offices. Our hybrid working practices along with flexible working arrangements will be in place to help you manage the requirement for travel and achieve a lifestyle balance.

This is a project lead role guiding clients on their Digital, Data, IT and digital vision, strategy, architecture, and transformation roadmap as they embark on and build their digital and AI journey. Most of your time will be spent embedded with our clients’ team and we’ll look to you to provide them with a unique business perspective on how they must continue to innovate, mitigate risk, and remain competitive with digital capability and technologies in this ever-changing industry.

Your Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll spend most of your time managing and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services and managing business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts.

  • Client Engagement & Trusted Advisory: Build strong, longterm relationships with clients by acting as a trusted advisor on largescale change initiatives, helping leadership translate business priorities into actionable programs and measurable outcomes.
  • Digital & AI Program Delivery: Lead and support the delivery of enterprise initiatives across platforms, analytics, automation and AI—covering usecase shaping, delivery coordination, dependency management, and benefits tracking across complex environments.
  • Strategic Shaping to Execution: Bridge strategy and execution by supporting clients from vision and roadmap definition through to implementation, ensuring initiatives are pragmatic, sequenced, and aligned to business value.
  • Experience, Journey & Business Case Design: Work with clients to define futurestate customer and employee journeys, clearly articulating the why, what and how of change, and supporting the development of robust business cases and investment rationale.
  • Operating Model & Governance Enablement: Support the design and embedding of delivery operating models, governance structures, and decision frameworks to enable effective execution across portfolios, programs, and AIenabled initiatives.
  • CrossCapability Delivery Leadership: Collaborate with teams across data, cyber, cloud, and platform capabilities to pursue and deliver endtoend engagements that bring client vision and strategy to life.
  • Business Development & Growth: Contribute to the growth of the practice by identifying opportunities within existing engagements, shaping client proposals, and supporting pursuits across the broader consulting portfolio.
  • Capability & Solution Development: Contribute to the development of delivery approaches, reusable assets, and solution frameworks that strengthen EY’s ability to deliver scalable, high‑impact engagements
  • IndustryAligned Solutioning: Understand sectorspecific challenges (e.g. banking, telecom, manufacturing) and adapt EY offerings to address real business problems, regulatory considerations, and execution constraints.
  • Thought Leadership & Market Presence: Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, contribute to internal thought leadership, and support EY’s market positioning through external forums where appropriate.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business with a strong technology focus. A Master’s degree (MBA, MIS, Digital Transformation, Data/AI) is an advantage.
  • Transformation Delivery Experience: Proven experience working on largescale digital, platform, data or AIenabled transformation programs, with handson involvement beyond strategy definition.
  • Consulting Experience: Prior experience within a consulting or advisory environment supporting enterprise clients on complex change initiatives across technology and business functions.
  • EndtoEnd Program Exposure: Experience supporting initiatives from vision and roadmap definition through delivery, adoption, and benefits realization.
  • Platform & AI Enablement: Practical understanding of digital platforms, analytics, automation and AI use cases, including how these are shaped, governed, and embedded into enterprise environments.
  • AI & Data Awareness: Understanding of AI/analytics lifecycle considerations such as data readiness, controls, governance, regulatory expectations, and operational integration (handson data science is not required).
  • Strategic Leadership Skills: Strong capabilities in strategic leadership, including excellent decision-making, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Framework and Methodology Expertise: Proficient in using various frameworks and methodologies to evaluate and recommend migration strategies, and digital platform options, focusing on digital transformation
  • Agile & Hybrid Ways of Working: Familiarity with Agile, hybrid delivery models, productcentric ways of working, and crossfunctional team coordination.
  • Customer Engagement: Exceptional skills in engaging customers, especially at the C-level, effectively pivoting discussions between technology and business/commercial interests to underline the business value of digital initiatives in application and integration.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing executive‑ready presentations, roadmaps, business cases, and status communications.
  • Leadership in Client Interactions: Confidence in leading meetings with various client stakeholders, including sponsors, management teams, and individual contributors. Confidence in leading workshops, steering groups, and working sessions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Integration expertise: Have previously designed and implemented APIs, understanding of protocols like REST, SOAP, HTTPs, UDP etc
  • Technology & Workflow Understanding: Strong understanding of solution workflows, business architecture, and core technologies (platforms, APIs, middleware, integrations), enabling effective collaboration between business and technology teams.
  • Certifications related to Digital Transformation, Agile Delivery, Cloud, Data or AI, such as:
  • SAFe / Scrum / Agile certifications
  • Cloud fundamentals (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Data & Analytics or AI foundations
  • TOGAF or architecture certifications (optional, not core)

Ideally, you will also have

  • OutcomeDriven Mindset: A strong resultsoriented approach, with experience delivering measurable outcomes across enterprisewide change initiatives, digital platforms, process optimisation, and AIenabled programs.
  • Transformation & Delivery Certifications: Relevant certifications supporting transformation and delivery credibility (e.g. Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Digital Transformation, Cloud, Data or AI foundations). Architecture certifications are a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance Awareness: Exposure to governance, risk, and regulatory considerations within largescale programmes, particularly in environments where data, security, controls, and responsible technology adoption are critical.
  • Change & Adoption Experience: Experience supporting organisational change, operating model shifts, and adoption uplift as part of enterprise initiatives, including embedding new ways of working, platforms, and data or AIenabled capabilities.
  • Delivery & Team Leadership: Experience leading small multidisciplinary teams (typically 3–5 people) or coordinating multiple workstreams across complex delivery programmes.
  • Collaborative & Inclusive Leadership Style: A proven ability to motivate teams, foster collaboration across business and technology roles, and drive alignment toward shared outcomes rather than purely technical objectives.
  • Global & CrossIndustry Exposure: Experience working with large enterprise clients across multiple geographies and sectors, with the ability to operate comfortably in complex, diverse stakeholder environments and support largescale change efforts.
