The opportunity

EY is making substantial investments in its award-winning AI & Data practice. As a strategic partner, you will assist our clients turn data, advanced analytics and agentic AI enablement into practical, repeatable solutions that drive measurable decision intelligence. Your knowledge of key value-drivers within the Health sector will help our payer and provider clients transition to cloud-native data platforms via integrated intelligence frameworks, establish ethical and governance guardrails and cataloguing for automated decisions, inform workforce skill demand required for human-to-agent interaction, and embed predictive, prescriptive, and adaptive agentic-AI technologies into workflows and systems.

In this capacity, you will help EY develop and deploy action-centric AI-enabled agentic solutions, support sector-specific solution design, go-to-market strategy, playbook design and craft thought-leadership. Your key responsibilities

As an AI & Data Senior Manager, you will lead a team of junior members, collaborating with a diverse client base to articulate, formulate, and implement their decision intelligence blueprints. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leading large-scale client engagements end-to-end, managing scope, risk, timelines, and budgets; proactively communicate with stakeholders and manage expectations to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Helping clients organize their data (semantic modelling) so it drives better decisions, using AI and automation—with human oversight—to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Leading the design, development, and scaling of data and advanced analytic products and solutions (from pilots to enterprise deployment) leveraging leading and client-selected technology and cloud providers to accelerate delivery of cutting-edge solutions that support interoperability and value realization.
  • Overseeing the development of compelling executive-level communications—including proposals, sales materials, and presentations—clearly articulating insights, recommendations, and value of data- and AI-enabled solutions to clients.
  • Build and sustain long-term client relationships by deeply understanding clients’ business priorities, data, AI, and technology landscapes; identify and cultivate new business development opportunities aligned to client success.
  • Hosting interactive sessions and workshops with business, technology, industry, and executive teams on topics for developing data and analytic products in response to mega-trends
  • Providing consistent, high-quality client delivery. Maintain strong client relationships founded on trust and commercial acumen, actively identifying opportunities to drive additional value.
  • Mentoring and developing team members, fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with our values and standards.
  • Driving business growth by shaping go-to-market strategies, crafting proposals, and expanding client relationships. Serve as a thought leader, developing differentiated offerings and insights that position the firm as an innovator in AI-enabled decisions and agentic workflows
  • Organizing and leading EY business development for prioritized solutions, and serving as a thought leader by bringing market leading insights to find, strategize around, and capture new markets for driving business growth
  • Lead strategic data and analytic alliance partnerships for developing cutting-edge solutions so solve our client’s business problems

Skills and attributes for success

  • Deep knowledge in healthcare to include understanding of critical challenges for payers, providers and integrated systems as well as ability to translate business needs into appropriate technical solutions for healthcare clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to align analytic and agentic initiatives with business value, shape economically sound solutions (ROI, cost-benefit), and manage engagement economics to drive profitable growth
  • Deep expertise in advanced analytics and decision science (e.g., optimization, simulation, causal inference, human-in-the-loop AI), applying structured and unstructured data (e.g. EHR, claims, ERP, financial, RWE, supply chain) to drive high-quality, data-driven business decisions and measurable key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • High proficiency with modern digital ecosystems—including cloud platforms, AI/ML, generative and agentic AI—with the ability to translate emerging technology and data trends into actionable business strategies, particularly in healthcare.
  • Exceptional structured, hypothesis-driven problem-solving skills with a creative and adaptive mindset; continuously learning and incorporating emerging methodologies and technologies to design pragmatic solutions to complex health challenges.
  • Driving, leading, and guiding teams in developing compelling sales materials, proposals, and presentations for presenting business focused data related solution to clients
  • Clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and opportunities at the executive level to improve data systems and solutions
  • Effectively leading, motivating and developing diverse teams through modern ways of working; build consensus through strong collaboration and influence, provide constructive timely coaching, and actively shape the next generation of leaders.
  • Fostering trusted relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently delivering quality client services.
  • Staying at the forefront of emerging technologies – including generative AI (large language/foundation models) and agentic AI (autonomous/assistive and adaptive agents) to guide clients in responsibly adopting and measuring value through these innovations
  • Understanding clients' overall data, AI and technology landscape and business priorities and success measures
  • Developing thought leadership for your area of expertise to help strengthen EY’s brand in the data management space.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing data and analytic strategy in health care
  • 8 -10 years of professional consulting experience in business or technology consulting or similar roles developing and implementing data and AI solutions in health care
  • A proven track record of driving revenue within existing clients and developing new prospects at the “C” level of Fortune 500 companies
  • Strong decision science and/or data management experience working with healthcare clients
  • Strong knowledge of AI and agentic technologies and frameworks
  • Working experience with Agile and/or Scrum methods of delivery for data and analytic products
  • Proven track record of understanding business challenges and translating them into value-add solutions - strong analytical and problem- solving skills - actively participate in brainstorming, identifying core issues and effectively finding and using data and AI to manage complex analysis
  • Communication is essential, must be able to listen and understand the question and develop and deliver clear insights

  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload, work independently, and scale through delegation
  • Ability to adapt quickly and positively to change
  • A valid driver’s license in the US; willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs, travel is estimated at 30%
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive successful outcomes

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in data and analytics, information systems, statistics, computer science, or related disciplines
  • Master’s in Applied / Business Analytics with a health concentration, Master’s degree in Business or Health Administration with a data and analytics concentration, Master’s in Health Informatics, or Master’s in Public Heath
  • Experience in leading business or IT transformation projects that have supported data science, decision intelligence, artificial intelligence, and cloud applications at scale
  • Working experience with design thinking and visual storytelling
  • Certifications in Microsoft, Databricks, AWS, ServiceNow, or Snowflake in the Data & AI domain
  • Experience working with Epic, Oracle/Cerner and other Electronic Health Record companies

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $178,300 to $407,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $213,900 to $462,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
