EY- GDS Consulting – Enterprise Risk (ER) – Risk Transformation – Associate Director / Senior Manager

As part of our Risk Transformation team, you will help clients transform their risk functions by aligning risk strategies with business objectives, leveraging technology, and enabling scalable governance frameworks.

You will play a key role in driving business development, shaping client solutions and delivering large-scale risk transformation engagements across industries. The role requires strong consulting, stakeholder management and solutioning experience across risk domains and emerging risk technologies.

The opportunity

We’re looking for Associate Directors / Senior Managers with strong experience in Risk Transformation, business development and large account management to join our growing Risk Consulting practice. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to:

Your key responsibilities

Client engagement and delivery

• Lead and deliver risk transformation engagements across domains such as Internal Audit, Internal Controls (SOX / IFC), Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
• Work closely with client stakeholders and EY regional teams to understand business challenges and define transformation roadmaps
• Drive management of large and complex engagements with focus on quality, timelines and business outcomes
• Build trusted relationships with client leadership teams
• Help manage the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to engagement leaders

Business development and growth

• Lead and support proposals, RFPs, POVs and strategic pursuits
• Identify and drive opportunities within large/global accounts
• Support account mining, client relationship management and cross-selling initiatives
• Collaborate with global teams and leadership on go-to-market initiatives

Risk transformation and innovation

• Support design and development of risk transformation solutions integrating:
  • AI, analytics and automation
  • GRC platforms and digital risk solutions
  • Process optimization and operating model transformation
• Contribute to thought leadership, accelerators, methodologies and reusable assets
• Stay current with emerging trends in risk, technology and digital transformation

Team leadership and capability building

• Lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams
• Support hiring, onboarding, coaching and performance management
• Foster collaboration, innovation, and a strong quality culture
• Contribute to capability development across the Risk Consulting practice

Practice development and internal initiatives

• Support strategic growth initiatives for the Risk Transformation practice
• Contribute to development of frameworks, solutions and delivery methodologies
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate across service lines to support integrated client solutions

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong experience across Process, Risk & Controls domains:
  • Internal Audit
  • Internal Controls / SOX
  • TPRM / Vendor Risk Management
  • Enterprise Risk Management
• Proven experience in business development and proposal management
• Experience working with large/global accounts
• Strong understanding of risk technology and digital ecosystem
• Ability to translate business challenges into scalable risk solutions
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong commercial acumen and growth mindset
• Demonstrate experience in:
  • Leading engagements
  • Managing clients and teams, including delivery oversight
  • Supporting or leading client pursuits

To qualify for the role, you must have

• MBA / CA / B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent
• 10–15 years of experience (for AD) / 8–12 years (for SM) in Risk Consulting
• Prior experience with Big 4 firms or other risk advisory / strategy consulting firms

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Certifications such as CIA, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent
• Experience in GRC tools and digital risk platforms
• Exposure to transformation programs involving automation or analytics
• Experience working in global delivery models
• Passion for innovation in risk and technology
