About Global Delivery Services

Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80,000+ professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina, China, Hungary, India, Philippines, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Client service is focused on providing Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless, high-quality, value-added support, helping deliver exceptional client service.

Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.

Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Engineer (.NET) to join our engineering team, with 3-7 years of strong hands-on experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade applications. The role requires deep technical proficiency in .NET Core/ASP.NET Core, MVC, React, Azure, TypeScript/JavaScript, MS SQL/SQL, Entity Framework, along with the ability to build clean, efficient, cloud ready code. In this role, you will contribute in two key capacities:

  • by developing high performance backend and frontend components aligned to target-state architecture and functional specifications, and
  • by supporting modernization and optimization initiatives, leveraging cloud capabilities, automation, and performance engineering best practices to enhance product efficiency and reliability.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • The candidate should have expertise in developing and/or enhancing technology solutions. This role includes the management of technical tasks within the project plan, coordination with the project manager, appropriate resourcing of a project, and ensures the project team follows the processes for quality delivery.
  • The candidate will participate in all aspects of the delivery cycle from sprint planning through release. The candidate will be expected to deliver quality, robust code which performs well and has the ability to scale as needed.
  • Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

  • BE/BTech/MCA with a sound industry experience of around 3 to 7 Yrs.
  • Experience in React.
  • Experience in JavaScript / TypeScript.
  • Strong experience in Azure stack like Logic Apps, Azure App Service, Azure Function, Azure Infra and DevOps.
  • Strong experience in MVC, .Net Core and Entity Framework.
  • Strong in Transact SQL or PL/SQL, strong RDBMS concepts with experience in either MS SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Solid working knowledge of relational database development: MS SQL/SQL Azure, EF 6, EF Core
  • Microsoft .NET technology, ASP .NET, C# and or VB.NET, Windows or Web based development, Web API, Web Services, Application Blocks
  • Experience in Object Relational mapping framework mainly in Entity framework.
  • Unit testing: NUnit, Moq, jest
  • Experience using distributed version control systems: Git/SVN
  • Experience using: TFS/VSTS
  • Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices.
  • JSON and Rest API integration
  • Excellent business communication
  • Need to work as a team member to contribute in various technical streams of Microsoft Technologies.

Good to Have :

  • Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience of Python programming skills.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
