We're seeking GST specialists who can turn technical expertise into actionable insights, partnering with clients to solve today's challenges and prepare for tomorrow's opportunities. Your key responsibilities
As our Indirect Tax Senior Manager / Director, you'll lead high-performing teams, provide trusted GST advisory services to leading financial services organisations, and work directly with clients to navigate complex tax challenges, unlock value, and drive sustainable business outcomes.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of financial services clients, advising on technical GST issues, GST risk management, governance, and planning opportunities across the tax lifecycle.
- Partner with clients to identify and resolve complex indirect tax issues while delivering practical, commercially focused solutions.
- Leverage emerging technologies, data analytics and automation tools to enhance GST compliance, risk management and reporting processes, including data interrogation to identify risks and opportunities.
- Guide clients through ATO reviews and assurance programs, drawing on a deep understanding of the ATO's Justified Trust framework.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand service offerings and develop innovative solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Lead, coach and develop talented indirect tax professionals, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
- Contribute to the growth of the practice through business development, thought leadership, market engagement, and leveraging existing networks to create new opportunities.
Skills and attributes for success
- Substantial GST experience gained within a professional services accounting firm, law firm, revenue authority, or a large financial services organisation.
- Strong technical GST expertise, with the ability to translate complex legislative and regulatory requirements into practical, commercial advice for clients.
- Strong leadership capability, with a track record of driving market-facing initiatives, leading complex client engagements and building high-performing teams.
- A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement and leveraging technology to deliver better client outcomes.
