The Team and the opportunity

At EY wavespace, we don’t just talk about transformation — we shape how organisations align and make decisions to accelerate it.

By combining human-centred design, emerging technology, and deep business expertise, we help organisations solve complex challenges and turn ambition into action — at speed.

As part of a global network of 50+ flagship locations, EY wavespace Dublin partners with some of the most significant Irish and global organisations to tackle critical business issues — through immersive experiences that drive real outcomes.

Our approach is simple yet powerful: we bring together the right people, at the right time, in the right environment to challenge thinking, reimagine possibilities, and co-create impactful solutions that unlock value and drive scale.

Because people support what they help create, our experiences are designed to build alignment, momentum, and lasting partnerships.

Working in EY wavespace means operating in a fast-paced, collaborative, and borderless environment where creativity meets delivery. We think boldly, design intelligently, and build practically — combining agility with rigour to move from idea to impact. Whether in-person or virtual, our experiences challenge mindsets and equip clients to lead change with confidence.

The role

Following a year of strong growth, we are seeking an Assistant Manager–level Experience Designer & Facilitator to join the EY wavespace Dublin team — a role at the heart of how we help clients solve complex, high-stakes challenges.

This is not a traditional consulting role. You will work directly with senior leaders and executive teams to support and ultimately lead immersive experiences that unlock clarity, drive alignment, and accelerate decision-making — often in moments that shape organisational direction.

You will initially support the design and delivery of experiences while building fluency in our methodologies, with a clear path to a visible, front-of-room facilitation role. Over time, you will guide diverse stakeholders through ambiguity, navigate complex dynamics, and help groups move from problem to action in real time.

From translating ambiguous challenges into structured experience journeys, to designing compelling agendas and facilitating high-energy sessions, your work will directly influence client outcomes and strategic direction.

This role suits someone who thrives on energy, creativity, and impact — equally comfortable designing behind the scenes and leading in the spotlight. You will develop a distinctive skillset at the intersection of facilitation, design thinking, and transformation, working with multidisciplinary teams and high-profile clients.

If you are motivated by shaping important conversations, influencing senior stakeholders, and creating momentum where it doesn’t yet exist, this role offers a platform to do exactly that.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and ultimately lead the design and delivery of EY wavespace client experiences, contributing to high-impact sessions that address complex client challenges.
  • Support the translation of client needs into clear objectives, structured agendas, and engaging experience designs aligned to desired outcomes and outputs.
  • Assist in the creation of visually compelling content and collaboration assets (e.g. Miro boards, presentations) to enhance session impact.
  • Support experience planning and prep including materials, logistics and content readiness to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and psychologically safe environment that enables participation, creativity and open dialogue.
  • Support team operations by assisting with calendar prioritisation and management
  • Create and support facilitation activities, including managing breakout groups or specific modules, and navigating complex or sensitive discussions with guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with Experience Leaders, client teams, and multidisciplinary EY teams to integrate diverse perspectives into session design and delivery.
  • Support the capture and synthesis of outputs into clear, high quality, structured deliverables, including session outputs and follow-on actions with engagement teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted and reliable member of the EY wavespace team.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience supporting and/or facilitating client-facing workshops or innovation experiences for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong grounding and practical experience in design thinking methodologies and frameworks, human-centred design and agile ways of working.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, including senior client audiences.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to read group dynamics and adapt approach accordingly.
  • Proficiency in collaboration and facilitation tools (e.g. Miro, MS Suite).
  • Ability to create clear and visually engaging content for client sessions (e.g. Adobe)
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality delivery.
  • A curious, proactive and growth-oriented mindset, with a desire to continuously develop facilitation and design skills.

Ideally, you will also have

  • Experience working in a consulting or client advisory environment.
  • Exposure to disciplines such as experience design, innovation, strategy, service design, or business transformation.
  • Experience applying human-centred design methods to support complex problem solving.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM, Agile or similar delivery frameworks.
  • Ability to work in-person from the Dublin wavespace for client sessions, complemented by flexible remote working.

What we look for

  • 3–5 years’ relevant professional experience in experience design, facilitation, or innovation-related roles.
  • Consulting or agency experience desired but not required.
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline such as design, business, innovation, or strategy.
  • Individuals who demonstrate strong potential to grow into leading and designing their own experiences
  • A passion for creating engaging client experiences that drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Team players who bring energy, personality, curiosity and a collaborative mindset.
