The opportunity

The EY GDS Poland NextGen Talent Internship is a highly selective program designed for ambitious students and early-career professionals who want to build their careers in Quality Engineering, Test Automation and modern software delivery.

As a Junior Test Automation Engineer, you will join a carefully selected cohort of high-potential talent and gain hands-on experience working on international projects for leading global organizations. Through structured learning, mentorship and practical project work, you will develop expertise in software testing, quality assurance and test automation while collaborating with experienced professionals across EY's global network.

Your key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project teams to support testing, quality assurance and implementation activities.
  • Contribute to project deliverables while ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks and transparent status reporting.
  • Partner with developers, testers and business stakeholders to help deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the organization.
  • Support the design, execution and maintenance of manual and automated test scenarios.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test scenarios, test cases and test data preparation.
  • Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Basic programming experience in Java and/or Python.
  • Ability to organize your workload independently and communicate progress effectively to the team.
  • Good command of English (B2+), both written and spoken, enabling effective collaboration in global teams.
  • Interest in and willingness to develop AI and GenAI skills, including the use of modern digital tools to enhance productivity, problem-solving and business outcomes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an open mindset and willingness to work effectively in diverse, cross-functional teams.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Familiarity with JIRA or other defect and work item tracking tools.
  • Basic experience in test automation.
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Participation in academic, personal or technology-related projects.
  • German and/or French language skills.
