1.Purpose

PurposeThe TTT Senior Manager is a client-facing workstream leader responsible for shaping and delivering tax transformation and tax technology engagements across Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax, and Accounting Compliance & Reporting. The role converts business requirements into implementable solutions by leading end-to-end workstreams spanning process redesign, data & analytics, solution architecture, AI enablement, and change adoption, ensuring outcomes are measurable and sustainable.

The Senior Manager is accountable for day-to-day delivery leadership across requirements, design, build oversight, testing, deployment and stabilization—coordinating Tax, Finance, Technology teams and vendors while maintaining disciplined governance and consistently client-ready outputs.

  1. Corporate Tax transformation outcomes
  • Delivers corporate tax process and operating model improvements that reduce cycle time, improve standardization, and strengthen data reliability for compliance and reporting.
  • Establishes repeatable tax data validation and reconciliation routines to improve data quality and traceability into reporting outputs, aligned to “data improvement and information access” outcomes.
  1. Indirect Tax transformation & eInvoicing outcomes
  • Delivers indirect tax reporting improvements, including data readiness, exception handling, and reporting governance.
  • Where in scope, delivers eInvoicing enablement and embeds it into business process, data flow, and reporting governance, including data-driven VAT reporting frameworks.
  1. Accounting Compliance & Reporting outcomes
  • Improves accounting compliance and reporting timeliness and accuracy through clear process design, calendars, ownership, and dependency management.
  • Delivers dashboards and exception monitoring that enable proactive issue resolution and improved reporting confidence.
  1. AI outcomes (practical value + governance)
  • Delivers AI/GenAI use cases that support tax and compliance outcomes (e.g., document extraction/classification, drafting support, anomaly detection, insight generation) with clear evaluation criteria, human oversight, and adoption measures aligned to GenAI direction.
  1. Delivery governance & client leadership outcomes
  • Delivers predictable workstream outcomes through disciplined governance: milestones, RAID, decision logs, scope/change control, and executive-ready reporting.
  • Maintains high client satisfaction through proactive stakeholder management, crisp communications, and consistently “client-ready” deliverables.

  • Builds high-performing teams by coaching Managers/Assistant Managers/Consultants, enforcing quality review discipline, and enabling capability growth in analytics, architecture and delivery methods.

  1. Technical competencies

The Senior Manager is expected to shape and deliver workstream outcomes and to credibly challenge designs and plans across process, data, technology and change workstreams.

  1. Functional depth (Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax, Accounting Compliance & Reporting)
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end tax and compliance process value chains, key data requirements, and cross-functional dependencies across Tax/Finance/IT.
  • Ability to run structured assessments and redesign workstreams consistent with tax function improvement services.
  1. Data, analytics & validation (tools capability — required)
  • Hands-on proficiency in Alteryx for data preparation/workflows and Tableau for dashboards/insights (and equivalent BI tools where needed).
  • Strong SQL capability for extraction, validation logic, reconciliations, and traceability of reporting outputs; familiarity with data warehouse concepts is beneficial.
  • Ability to define data quality rules, reconciliation frameworks, and exception monitoring that support compliance and reporting.
  1. eInvoicing & digital reporting enablement (Indirect Tax)
  • Understanding of eInvoicing program components (process impacts, data elements, integration touchpoints, rollout governance).
  • Ability to support design and implementation of data-driven VAT reporting frameworks where required.
  1. AI / GenAI enablement (Tax + Compliance)
  • Ability to shape and implement AI/GenAI use cases with appropriate evaluation, oversight and adoption mechanisms.
  1. Solution architecture & enterprise architecture alignment (required)
  • Ability to contribute to and govern workstream-level solution architecture: application components, data flows, integration patterns, security/audit logging, scalability and resiliency.
  • Working familiarity with enterprise architecture and solution design concepts, and ability to align designs to client enterprise standards.
  1. Software application development & SDLC governance (required)
  • Ability to translate requirements into user stories/functional specifications; define testing strategy; support release planning; and manage quality gates for software-enabled solutions. ,
  • Ability to partner with engineering teams on build standards, defect triage and deployment readiness (documentation, evidence and controls).
  1. Change management and adoption delivery
  • Ability to lead change workstream components (stakeholder mapping, communications, training approach, adoption KPIs) and embed enablement into delivery plans.
  1. Delivery methods & execution discipline
  • Strong delivery management capability; familiarity with structured enterprise delivery methods such as Agile is beneficial.

  1. Key responsibilities (what the role does)
  1. Workstream delivery leadership (end-to-end)
  • Lead one or more workstreams from initiation through stabilization, managing integrated delivery across process, data/analytics, technology enablement, AI and change.
  • Deliver workstream outputs consistent with tax function improvement scope: assessments, process redesign, data improvement and information access, organizational design support, change management, and project management.
  1. Corporate Tax transformation delivery
  • Lead corporate tax workstream activities including requirements, design, data validation approach, and implementation governance.
  • Build and oversee SQL-led validation and analytics workflows to improve data reliability and reporting confidence.
  1. Indirect Tax transformation including eInvoicing
  • Lead indirect tax workstream delivery including eInvoicing enablement and data-driven VAT reporting frameworks where required; coordinate Tax/Finance/IT stakeholders and vendors.

  1. Accounting Compliance & Reporting transformation
  • Design and implement improvements to compliance/reporting processes, calendars, data lineage and exception handling.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting insights using Tableau (and equivalent BI tools) to support monitoring and decision-making.
  1. Solution architecture and design governance
  • Own workstream-level solution design artifacts (process flows, data mappings, integration requirements, non-functional requirements) and align to client enterprise architecture standards.
  1. Govern software build and implementation lifecycle
  • Manage SDLC execution for assigned components: user stories/specs, backlog/prioritization support, testing governance, defect triage, release readiness and deployment support.
  1. Deliver AI / GenAI-enabled use cases responsibly
  • Lead AI/GenAI workstream delivery: define use cases and value, establish evaluation and guardrails, coordinate build, and ensure adoption readiness.
  1. Run governance, quality and risk management (mandatory)
  • Run governance cadence for the workstream: RAID, decision log inputs, scope/change control, status reporting and escalation.
  • Ensure secure handling of client data; enforce documentation discipline and quality reviews.
  1. Support pursuits and account expansion (shaping)
  • Support pursuits by contributing to discovery workshops, delivery approach sections, workplans/estimates, and risk/assumptions inputs.
  • Identify follow-on opportunities aligned to tax transformation, analytics, eInvoicing, AI, and change adoption.
  1. Team leadership and coaching
  • Coach Managers/Assistant Managers/Consultants; conduct quality reviews of deliverables; build capability in tools (Alteryx/Tableau/SQL) and structured delivery.
  1. Mobility (mandatory)
  • Travel across MENA for key workshops and critical delivery phases.

6.Qualifications and experience

Required

  • Typically 12+ years experience in tax transformation, tax technology, finance/compliance transformation, technology-enabled process improvement, or management consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading workstreams and teams on multi-workstream transformation programs with strong governance and stakeholder management.
  • Hands-on (or hands-on leadership) capability using Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL for analytics-led delivery and reporting.
  • Experience contributing to solution architecture alignment and governing software build lifecycle elements (requirements/user stories, testing, defect management, release readiness).
  • Strong change leadership orientation and ability to embed adoption into delivery plans.

Preferred

  • Experience delivering eInvoicing and digital indirect tax reporting programs including data-driven VAT reporting frameworks.
  • Experience leading AI/GenAI-enabled capabilities in enterprise functions with clear evaluation and adoption measures.
  • Relevant credentials aligned to role mix (tax/accounting qualification, project/program management, architecture, data/AI, change management).
