We are looking for experienced Senior Manager’s to join our People Consulting team in New Zealand / Aotearoa. We are seeking strategic and commercially minded leaders with fresh ideas and an innovative approach to help shape and grow our high-performing team. People Consulting helps organisations solve some of their largest and most complex people-related challenges.
As a Senior Manager, you will lead the delivery of large-scale transformation programs, drive client relationships, and contribute to the growth of our People Consulting practice.
These roles can be performed from any of our EY offices across New Zealand / Aotearoa.
Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex change, learning and workforce transformation projects, providing trusted advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Design and implement practical people solutions, developing strategic recommendations, reports and executive-level presentations.
- Manage multiple engagements, applying sound judgement to resolve issues, mitigate risks and achieve successful outcomes.
- Develop and coach high-performing consultants, fostering capability growth, collaboration and continuous learning.
- Drive business growth through relationship management, proposal development, thought leadership and market engagement.
Ngā Pūkenga | Skills and attributes for success
- Extensive experience in change management, HR transformation and talent strategy, including stakeholder engagement, communications, organisational design, workforce planning and HR technology.
- Strong consulting background with a proven ability to build client relationships, influence senior stakeholders and deliver commercially focused outcomes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project delivery skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and manage competing priorities.
- Experience leveraging digital platforms and emerging technologies, including SAP, Microsoft, ServiceNow and AI, to support transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams, coaching talent and fostering high-performing, collaborative cultures.
Ideally, you’ll have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience working with clients across the retail, consumer and manufacturing sectors.
- Change management certifications such as PROSCI, CCMP, APMG, AIM, CPCM, ATD Change Management or Agile Change Management.
- Adjacent certifications including PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL or Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience contributing to practice growth through business development, proposal support and market engagement.
- Exposure to advanced workforce analytics, succession planning and employee experience transformation programs.
