The Opportunity

You will be responsible for executing tasks with increasing autonomy, applying sound judgment within defined parameters, and contributing to team outcomes. You are expected to demonstrate initiative, resolve routine issues independently, and support junior colleagues.

You will anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team.

In line with EY commitment to quality, you’ll confirm that work is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

We are looking for a skilled Regulatory Reporting Professional to support the delivery of technology-enabled regulatory reporting services for digital asset clients. The role focuses on end-to-end report production, data validation, reconciliations, controls, issue management, and regulatory change across U.S. and global reporting obligations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, onshore teams, technology teams, and operations stakeholders to strengthen reporting accuracy, improve governance, support automation, and build scalable processes aligned with evolving products, entities, and regulatory requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Production & Submissions: Lead regulatory reporting workstreams, including end-to-end preparation, review, and timely submission of U.S. and global filings such as MTL reporting, transaction reporting, financial condition reporting, and capital calculations.
  • Broader Banking Regulatory Reporting Exposure: Apply relevant exposure to banking regulatory returns, including capital adequacy, liquidity reporting, ICAAP reporting, balance sheet reporting, and regulatory disclosures, where applicable to the client’s operating model.
  • Regulatory Change, Awareness & Reporting Logic: Monitor relevant regulatory developments, interpret reporting instructions, assess data and process impacts, and coordinate timely updates to reporting logic, templates, procedures, controls, and technology workflows.
  • Data Sourcing & Analytical Reviews: Perform complex data extraction, validation, variance analysis, and root-cause exception investigations across large datasets to ensure data completeness and integrity.
  • Control Governance & Audit Readiness: Embed rigorous quality controls—including maker-checker reviews, clear audit trails, evidence retention, and sign-off protocols—across all reporting cycles.
  • Automation & Process Improvement: Identify reporting process inefficiencies and support automation initiatives using tools such as SQL, Python, and modern data platforms to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
  • Analytics & Responsible AI Awareness: Apply awareness of responsible AI and analytics use cases to support anomaly detection, exception analysis, reporting commentary, and workflow monitoring.
  • Team Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment: Provide technical coaching and review support to junior team members while coordinating seamlessly across cross-functional partners and U.S.-based stakeholders.
  • Time-Zone Flexibility: Willingness to operate during late/extended hours to ensure seamless hand-offs with U.S.-based stakeholders and meet strict global submission deadlines.
  • Al fluency - Demonstrates broad knowledge of AI trends, opportunities, and risks within operations. Supports the implementation of AI driven process improvements, encourages responsible AI adoption within the team, and contributes to efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and attributes for success

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in regulatory reporting or financial services.
  • Hands-on experience with U.S. regulatory filings, financial condition reporting, customer liability reporting, permissible investments, transaction reporting, and Money Transmitter License (MTL) submissions.
  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is preferred; CA, CPA, CFA, MBA, or an equivalent professional qualification would be an advantage.
  • Strong end-to-end understanding of regulatory reporting production cycles, data validation, reconciliations, variance analysis, workpaper preparation, and review controls.
  • Solid working knowledge of financial statement analysis, regulatory capital concepts, ICAAP reporting, and applicable regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Exposure to banking regulatory reporting frameworks, including capital adequacy, ICAAP reporting, liquidity risk reporting, balance sheet schedules, and regulatory disclosures, would be beneficial.
  • Proven ability to translate complex regulatory mandates into business requirements.
  • Knowledge of reporting platforms and data tools, along with hands-on experience in SQL, Python, Snowflake, or Looker, would be an added advantage.
  • Awareness of Generative AI tools and workflow automation to support data extraction, exception analysis, and reporting efficiency would be an advantage.
  • Strong control mindset, including practical experience with maker-checker reviews, robust audit trails, evidence retention, issue management, and key risk/control testing.
  • Advanced data analytics skills, with the ability to query large datasets, perform root-cause analysis on exceptions, and communicate structured findings clearly.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of effectively managing relationships across onshore/offshore teams, product managers, engineers, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, demonstrating strong ownership, continuous improvement, and agility in adapting to evolving regulatory landscapes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. U.S. visa readiness or international travel willingness is preferred but not mandatory.
