The opportunity:
Basic knowledge in GMP, GLP, GDP, and Data Integrity. Prepare reagents to support routine testing. Perform routine compendial testing (pH, osmolality, color) per SOPs and GMP
Perform Bulk Drug Substance testing (HPLC, UPLC, Potency). Perform sample management and aliquoting. Perform chemical assays according to established procedures. Perform basic troubleshooting of chemical assays
May serve as a point of contact or subject matter expert for an assigned assay. Perform inventory checks and stock laboratory supplies as needed. Maintain laboratory in an inspection ready state
Perform laboratory equipment maintenance. Perform calibration and standardization of equipment. Train others in basic laboratory and troubleshooting techniques
Assist with laboratory investigations. Assist in data trending and data review. Support the execution of studies and protocols as needed
Knowledgeable of manufacturing operations in relation to quality control responsibilities (e.g. incoming samples, Hold Steps)
Follow established safety and environmental guidelines and procedures for all work performed
Who you are:
BS/BA in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related Science
3 years related experience
Experience in preparation of reagents
Basic knowledge of chemistry testing (TOC and conductivity)
Basic knowledge of Liquid and/or Gas Chromatography preferred
Basic equipment troubleshooting techniques
Basic knowledge of inspections and audits
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Must be agile and able to work independently in a fast paced environment
Experience in reporting unplanned events
Work Environment / Physical Demands
Work in office and laboratory environment
Able to lift up to 30lbs
Work with analytical instruments that may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals
(corrosive, toxic, flammable, etc)
Available to work over-time, weekends, and holidays as needed
Days worked and shift hours, if applicable
Monday-Friday (8hr/Day)
Sunday-Wednesday (10hr/Swing)
Wednesday-Saturday (10hr/Swing)

Pay transparency
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Oceanside is 51,000.00 - 94,600.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
