The Position
The Opportunity
As Investor Relations Officer, your basic responsibilities are to ensure the correct flow of relevant information and company messages, analyze financial community expectations and sentiments, and develop the financial community’s understanding and appreciation of Roche’s pharmaceutical business.
You will gain experience related to internal and external communication to senior management and the financial community.
Your primary responsibilities:
Organizing Investor Relations (IR) events and developing story lines and slide decks for speakers at major medical conferences, analyst days (e.g. Pharma Day, Diagnostics Day, Digitalization Day), and other IR events
Prepare supporting materials (e.g. Q&A documents) for senior management prior to earnings, investor conferences and visits
Compile analyst notes and transcripts to summarize market sentiment on Roche and peers
Serve as IR lead for partnership with gRED (Genentech Research & Early Development), ensuring accuracy of information reported in earnings decks and presentations
Provide information on stock market dynamics, Roche share price performance and further analysis, trading patterns, and competitor activity to senior management and project teams

Who You Are
You have a strong life science/medical background with working experience either in the pharmaceutical industry, pharma consulting or insights businesses, or financial industry (Pharma/Biotech financial analyst). You love working in a highly dedicated team with the opportunity to gain deep insights in all aspects of investor relations at a world-leading, science-driven pharmaceutical company with great opportunities for professional development.
Minimum 5 years of working experience in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g. business development, scientific/medical communication, competitive intelligence, M&D, R&D etc.) or in an associated field (e.g. Pharma consultancy, insights business, financial analyst in investment banking)
Strong interest in the trends shaping the pharmaceutical and biotech industry and in capital markets (e.g. understanding company valuations, healthcare policy, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills with an ability to explain scientific and business concepts alike
You have developed presentations on scientific, industry or business related topics and have excellent proficiency in Power Point / Google Slides
Ability to network and liaise with a wide variety of groups within the company (e.g. R&D, product teams, communication, finance) in order to obtain and share relevant information
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $103,000 - $233,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
