Function Overview

The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Collaborating closely with global business teams, the focus is on understanding business models and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency and disruption. Purpose of the role

Role is of a Senior analyst. The senior analyst will lead creation of Globally consistent Data Definitions and Quality that meets the Business and Functional requirements of the Integrated Planning Future State Vision. The role will be the main point of contact for critical data-dependent activities including Data Cataloguing, Business Definition Creation, Business Rules to enable Quality Monitoring and prioritization of data remediation in future state planning system as well as lead data cleanup activities for sunset systems.

The role will ensure Data Modeling and Construction enables the Functional Requirements during the Project phase, RUN state as well as support the Improve and Transform state partnering with GDGS teams – (Global data Governance services) to adhere to GDGS policies and Standards.

The role will also work to assess our current Planning technology platforms (OMP, TERRA, IA, SP2 , Data Lake) and develop plans to simplify and ensure a connected E2E design for Global Integration Planning Transformation ( FCT, OPR , SOP , MEIO , GCP )

This role will closely work with D&T, Planning HUB, GDGS, NAR, INTL, PET - Business Pillar, Analytics team to bridge the gaps and collaboratively development of Future State Improve and Transform opportunities.

Ability to work and develop junior consultants to deliver projects in a global delivery model. Develop close partnership with business users, product Leads, process leads to truly understand needs and facilitate connections to ensure end to end solution thus ensuring Information Technology solutions meet their requirements and driving technology initiatives to enhance their operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Apply expertise, with knowledge of SAP, Planning systems to support business operations.
  • Partner with solution teams across other supply chain functions, and IT partners to translate business & statutory requirements into SAP system designs & solutions.
  • Responsible for current and future state Data Mapping (Where is it?), Cataloging (What is it?) and Data Business Rules (When do we know it is correct?) to meet program deliverables.
  • Lead the documentation of critical data elements, definitions, and rules in the Enterprise Data Catalog.
  • Develop the Data Stewards to dependently own the Data Governance and Remediation.
  • Responsible for facilitating Global Capability and Region Leads' understanding of Data required to meet Functional Design.
  • Supporting Global Capability and Region Leads make Data decisions in the context of their deliverables.
  • Collaborate across Workstreams (Process, L&D, Change, D&T) to ensure that high quality Data is included appropriately in their activities.
  • Supporting data architecture and migration work with Planning HUB, Data Stewards and D&T.
  • Support the creation of the Global Data and Technology Roadmaps.
  • The role will work across with Global Capability Leads, Region Leads and Business/Functional SMEs, Tech and Solutions, Process. Leads and have dotted Reporting relationship with IPT Data workstream lead to define the Global Planning Data standardization roadmap.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding requirements for configuration systems to meet stakeholder/business needs
  1. Deep Understanding of SAP R/3 APO and other Planning related systems
  2. Clear Understanding of GMI customizations and the difference between SAP and Industry standards.
  • Experience in the Business Process of Demand and or Supply Planning
  1. Strong understanding of business objectives in the context of planning, processes, and stakeholder needs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  1. Ability to work with deep technical resources and conceptually understand the underlying logic and architecture of GMI planning systems and able to propose the future state standardize solutions.
  2. Confident working with cross functional D&T and Business teams
  • Project or Change Management experience
  1. Ability to communicate technical concepts and requirements in a business language
  2. Ability to translate business concepts and requirements to deep technical resources
  3. Ability to balance between process, people and technology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of related experience in SAP MM with APO functional knowledge
  • FMCG/CPG experience preferred.

  • Good interpersonal skills – can deal and communicate effectively in English (both in writing and verbally) with systems colleagues and business users.
