Purpose of the role This position is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive shelf-life studies, analyzing data, and providing critical insights to ensure our products maintain their quality and safety over time. The work will include preparation, physical, chemical, and sensory evaluation along with reporting of results. | ||||||||||||

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES | ||||||||||||
· Design and implement shelf-life studies for new and existing products. · Conduct sensory, chemical, and physical analyses to determine product stability. · Sample preparation involving Baking, frying, steaming, cooking for evaluating shelf life of finished products. · Monitor and document changes in product quality over time under various storage conditions. · Collect, record, and analyze data from shelf-life studies using statistical tools. · Interpret results, identify issues and trends and suggest/make recommendations as necessary to ensure accurate data reporting. · Maintain accurate and organized records of all testing activities. · Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure product quality standards are met. · Organize workload and prioritize samples to maximize output and meet deadlines. · Perform routine instrument maintenance, troubleshoot and other maintenance required by the Reliability Program. · Proficient in basic laboratory skills: accurate weighing, pipetting, quantitative transfer of solutions and samples, acid-base titrations · Well versed in handling analytical Instruments like pH meter, moisture analyzer, texture analyzer, water activity meter. · Significant attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to be flexible depending on workload. · Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment. · Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in shelf-life testing methodologies, and regulatory changes. | ||||||||||||
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
- Education – B.Sc./B.Tech in science stream.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, clearly articulates views in written and verbal discussions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MSc./MTech : Food science/ Food Technology /Analytical Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in R&D, preferably in Shelf-life / Product Stability
- Sound knowledge of Stability science, Sensory science
