JOB OVERVIEW

Join the Digital and Technology (D&T) Finance Team and be a part of the Enterprise Accelerate Strategy to drive digital and technology transformation! D&T enables the advancement of General Mills strategy by partnering with the business to bring new capabilities.

This role provides critical leadership in the areas of capital investment, accounting and controls and financial reporting for the D&T function. This role provides significant cross-functional exposure as well as the opportunity to develop global business partnership skills while working to continuously improve global capital processes, controls, and reporting. This role will work closely with D&T Business partners and the Global Capital Team in managing and executing D&T capital projects. There is opportunity for this role to evolve over time as the initial work becomes more efficient and we continue to transform and evolve how our finance team supports the D&T organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead capital investment budgeting, tracking & analysis to deliver the annual capital plan
  • Provide accounting & controls leadership across the D&T capital community-
  • Policy interpretation & guidance
  • Capital Project Life-Cycle guidance
  • Capex Cost analysis
  • Fixed Asset Accounting, Audit & Controls
  • Capital Accounting management
  • Depreciation/Expense budget ownership
  • Influence process & controls improvements
  • Provide guidance and issue resolution during the capital project lifecycle
  • Support D&T partners on capital prioritization and approval recommendations
  • Contribute to other ad hoc projects as needed
  • Prepare and Lead Finance review calls with D&T Business Partners and drive monthly business review meetings
  • Support projects and work in tandem with admin team around plan, forecasting and reporting

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • At least 6- 9 years of professional experience with some accounting experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Able to identify and extract the right data from financial systems to provide meaningful analysis
  • High sense of urgency; ability to be proactive, respond quickly, and hit deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred CMA/ CA
  • Understands the business needs, being proactive with Initiative mindset to think, define process requirements to an evolving process
  • Able to shift priorities quickly when necessary
  • Anticipates future business/ stakeholder needs and accelerates what is possible
  • Process oriented with focus on consistency and integrity
  • Transition experience
  • Proven Stakeholder Management
