The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Collaborating closely with global business teams, the focus is on understanding business models and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency and disruption. Purpose of the role

The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to developing a best-in-class data capability that helps drive performance of General Mills now and into the future. This is an exciting time to work in General Mills’ DnA organization! We are partnering across Sales, Connected Commerce, SRM, and Global Commerce Experience teams to advance Data and Analytics capabilities and impact. We are seeking a leader to join the D&T India DnA Commercial Data Foundation team. This role will report into Commercial Data Foundation Manager in India and functionally collaborate with teams across CMI, SRM and Sales. It is an Individual contributor role. In this role, you will play the critical role of linking business objectives to core technological capabilities. This role is the development team’s source for business logic, requirements, and technical analysis.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create and sustain strong relationships with a broad array of internal stakeholders to gain business context and with external partners to ensure the data meets business needs
  • Drive organized and effective business requirements to help maintain the data
  • Dig into to data analysis and explore data to determine how the data can best serve the organizations needs and translate that back into requirements for the team
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for the downstream teams regarding data knowledge, future use case exploration and data governance requirements
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to deliver consistent and reliable metrics across relevant and connected data sources
  • Manage documentation related to definitions, processes, and key decisions for reference by downstream users
  • Coordinate DMP-related data governance requirements with Business, Legal, and Cybersecurity
  • Serve as a strategic leader regarding potential new data partners and sources to ensure process integration, fit-for-purpose and value qualifications can be delivered
  • Guide data consumers through understanding or leveraging data and internal team processes

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
  • To be able to articulate business requirements and bridge the gap with development teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; highly collaborative and able to build/sustain relationships and drive process improvement
  • Agility to navigate ambiguity and deliver with a sense of urgency, consistently meeting timelines
  • 3 years of experience in leading a project or sub-projects
  • Strong experience in exploring and analysing large data sets using Excel and SQL to understand patterns, structures, and definitions
  • Hands on experience working with SQL
  • Strong understanding and implementation of Agile methodology
  • Self-managing, results-oriented, and capable of leading multiple initiatives simultaneously through rigorous prioritization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technologies – BigQuery - Google Cloud Platform, ETL
  • Agile Scrum master certification
  • Understanding of Point of Sale, Syndicated and Consumer Data
  • Strong presentation skills (Powerpoint) and experience influencing senior business leaders
