Distritubtion Clerk 3– Milwaukee, WI:
The Distribution Clerk will be responsible for the storage of raw material, ingredients and finished product, inbound and outbound shipments, and supporting production needs.
Shift hours: *Currently hiring for night shift, but needs to be open to working off-shifts when needed *
- Night shift: 7 pm to 7am
- (2-2-3 schedule)
- Schedule Pattern:
- 2-2-3 Schedule – on-shift for 2 days, off-shift for 2 days, on-shift 3 for days, etc.
- Schedule Pattern:
- 12-2 schedule: work for 12 days in a row and then have 2 days off
- 2 days off will be every other weekend
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Plant operation is 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
Pay:
- $25.16 per hour starting.

Our site was originally owned by the Gardetto family, who created Gardetto’s by using any broken breadsticks leftover in their plant combined with seasonings! What your day will look like:
- Ensuring Human and Food Safety are your number one priority and partner with team to identify and eliminate risks daily
- Following all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Responsibility for the storage of raw material, ingredients, and finished product
- Staging and delivering materials to support production needs
- Unloading inbound ingredients/packaging materials for production including bulk deliveries
- Responsibility for executing all required HAACP/quality processes and documentation
- Selecting, preparing, verifying, and loading product for outbound shipment
- Performing all sanitation tasks for shipping and receiving areas
- Pallet storage using FIFO system
- Inspect proper start-up, shutdown, and sampling procedures for receiving bulk oils. Responsible for executing oil spill procedures.
- Responsibility for inspecting outbound trailers using HAACP inspection procedure and documentation.
- Load recycled totes, wooden pallets, and bailed scrap plastic or corrugated into the predetermined supplier’s trailers.
- Repackage damaged goods, as directed by the Distribution lead person or team leader. Ability to troubleshoot issues associated with the ASRS, labelers, Lantech stretch wrapper, conveying systems and Red Prairie equipment.
- Operating and maintaining forklift and conducting daily forklift inspection
- Assist in cycle counting and physical inventory as requested by inventory analysis.
- Operation of Red Prairie Warehouse Management System.
- Operating forklift equipment safely to move materials and products throughout the plant
- Attending meetings and training as required
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned
- Leading with and championing human and food safety
What you have to offer:
- High school diploma or GED plus 5 years of building/facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to solve diverse procedural problems within well-defined standards by selecting from learned responses.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft systems (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and Maximo (CMMS).
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot basic electrical circuits. Must display a willingness to learn additional electrical skills.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
- Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
- Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
- Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
