Purpose of the role Highly organized and detail-oriented Energy Management professional to support our corporate team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing energy consumption, implementing energy-saving projects, and ensuring compliance with energy regulations across our manufacturing operations. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES | ||||||||||||||
· Energy Audits & Assessments: Conduct periodic energy audits of manufacturing plants to identify opportunities for energy savings and efficiency improvements in line with the company's sustainability goals.
· Energy Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and manage systems to track, analyze, and report energy consumption across facilities. Prepare energy performance reports and recommend actionable steps for improvement.
· Energy Efficiency Projects: Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of energy-saving projects, such as equipment upgrades, process improvements, and renewable energy initiatives. Evaluate ROI and ensure project alignment with operational goals.
· Compliance & Certifications: Ensure compliance with all applicable energy regulations, standards, and certifications (such as the Energy Conservation Act). Maintain and update the organization’s status as per BEE regulations.
· Sustainability Strategy: Contribute to the company’s long-term sustainability strategy by integrating energy efficiency with broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
· Cost Management: Analyze energy-related costs and identify areas for reduction, ensuring that the company achieves its cost-saving targets without compromising operational efficiency.
· Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and consultants for energy projects, including renewable energy installations, energy-efficient equipment procurement, and audits.
· Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver energy management training programs to staff across various levels, building awareness and ensuring alignment with corporate energy-saving initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS | ||||||||||||||
|
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering) or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in energy management, preferably within the manufacturing sector. Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
- Proficient in energy monitoring tools, data analysis, and reporting software
- Must have excellent computer skills in a variety of applications (Experience in SAP, Auto Cad, Maximo, and Microsoft office preferred)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS |
- Must be a certified Energy Manager or Auditor by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Government of India.
- Experience with ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification or similar.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, biomass, etc.) and their applications in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of government energy-saving schemes, subsidies, and incentives for industrial energy conservation.
- Proven ability to manage energy projects from concept to implementation. Experience with ROI analysis, budgeting, and managing timelines.
- Strong team skills/collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize workload and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and proactively on responsibilities.
- Critical attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
