POSITION OVERVIEW
Are you humble, hungry, and smart? Join the Richmond Herd as the Site HSE Manager. In this role, you will provide HSE leadership and strategic direction to the site. Responsible for leading the Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) and Serious Environmental Incident (SEI) prevention strategies and ensuring implementation of the site’s Environment & Safety Management System (ESMS). Provides support and technical assistance in the administration of and compliance with federal, state, local, and company HSE requirements. This position could require travel of approximately 10%.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Drives SIF/SEI prevention through integration of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles at the facility
- Serves as the primary point of contact and resource for health, safety & environmental issues
- Represents the Site during Regional/Cluster HSE functions
- Maintains site HSE Budget
- Maintains site emergency response plans and provides oversight for Emergency Response Team (ERT)
- Stays abreast of regulatory changes that may impact the facility
- Ensures completion and accuracy of all required Environmental & Safety reports for the facility
- Leads compliance assurance efforts by facilitating frequent HSE self-assessments and tracks corrective action plans to completion
- Provides leadership, direction, and prioritization for site HSE objectives as part of the annual planning process
- Mentors, develops, and builds capability in Site HSE Professionals
- Monitors facility performance against HSE goals and objectives and communicates results to the Site Leadership Team and Central Safety Committee
- Reports company-required HSE and Sustainability metrics at required frequencies in GSTEMS
- Actively participate in change or project management to identify and address critical risk at the facility. Ensures site HSE risk analyses are performed and communicated following BPM escalation processes if applicable
- Collaborates with other business functions and participates in special projects as assigned
- Provides support to the site to address regulatory inspections and complaints
- Provides assistance in the analysis of significant incidents (fire, chemical releases, fatalities, severe or multiple injuries, etc.) and follow-up on corrective actions ensuring information is shared throughout the Company to prevent re-occurrence
- Oversees administration of Worker’s Compensation process at the facility
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, safety, industrial hygiene or demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable work experience
- Five (5) years of site-level HSE leadership and program management experience
- Solid interpersonal, positive attitude, coaching, and project management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills; proficient in English and other regional languages
- Proficient in computer software applications
- Working knowledge of local HSE regulations
- Experience in food and beverage manufacturing or related field

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $91900.00 - $138000.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
