JOB OVERVIEW

Function Overview

Primary function of consultant is to understand business strategies from Business teams and to replicate it in OMP systems.

Individual will be responsible for implementing & supporting system best practices across Demand Planning processes, Testing business functionalities / Enhancements for Demand Planning systems. Also responsible for continuously monitoring process performance and identifying improvements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

50% of Time : Provide on-going business application support for Demand Planning team

  • Maintain System Parameters to reflect business strategies.
  • Identify, develop and implement best practices, Resolve end user system/process issues.
  • Work on Business Process Standardization
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement (CI) tools as necessary.
  • Ownership of any break fixes for planning systems
  • Gather and analyze supply chain data. Ownership over OMP-based Planning data, and stewardship over OMP and non-OMP planning data (with GIC counterparts)
  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements.
  • Drive Data Governance initiatives and other key projects to improve system and data integrity by developing appropriate break fix KPI and track them
  • Partner with DA team to deliver on key projects which would drive forecast accuracy by building robust system governance trackers around SKU splits, network realignments,CSF Splits.

20% of Time : Support & sustain Demand planning processes and system usage metrics

  • Support System wellness/health-check processes including compliance & metric tracking.
  • Support & Sustain processes for driving effective system utilization.
  • Support training documentation.

20% of Time : Support business expansion initiatives via seamless systems integration

  • Establish impact of new technology on Demand Planning Systems along with Technology Team.
  • Support integration of new technology, corporate acquisitions, location transitions within current business processes / systems
  • Identify opportunity areas for new system solutions.

10% of Time : Continuous Improvement & individual development

  • Leverage global processes & tools.
  • Expand understanding of SC tools & capabilities.
  • Grow Technical Skillset, attend soft skill and technical trainings.

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed

  • Must have excellent understanding / keen inclination towards systems viz OMP, SAP-R/3 or relevant systems used in Supply Planning & Logistics Operations
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and to learn quickly.
  • Good problem-solving skills, bias for action, decisive, strong time management skills required.
  • Experience dealing with U.S. personnel over phone preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Demand planning or Supply Planning
  • Good written communication
  • Ability wiork independently and critical thinking

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum years of related experience required: 5-6 yrs
  • Preferred years of related experience: 2- 3+ yrs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors
  • Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters
  • Preferred Major Area of Study: Engineering or Equivalent
  • Required Professional Certifications: Good to have
  • Preferred Professional Certifications: SAP certified Professional.
