Function Overview

The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Collaborating closely with global business teams, the focus is on understanding business models and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency and disruption. Purpose of the role

Data-Driven Decision Making: To provide critical data analysis and insights to inform strategic decisions related to the BTFE mobile app and its ecosystem, driving improvements in user experience, engagement, and business outcomes.

Application Optimization: To leverage data analysis to identify areas for improvement within the BTFE mobile app, leading to enhanced functionality, performance, and user satisfaction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: To act as a liaison between the BTFE team, product development, engineering, and marketing teams, ensuring alignment on data strategies and effective communication of insights.

Technological Innovation: To stay abreast of the latest advancements in mobile app development and marketing technology, identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies and improve the app's capabilities.

Team Leadership & Mentorship (Future Potential): To develop strong leadership skills through project management and mentorship of junior team members, preparing for potential advancement into a managerial role. This includes fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Business Transformation: To contribute to the overall transformation of the BTFE app through data-driven insights and recommendations, impacting key business metrics and strategic goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Lead the design, development, and implementation of data-driven solutions to optimize the BTFE mobile application and its related ecosystem. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, develop technical specifications, and oversee the execution of projects.

· Develop and maintain comprehensive data models, dashboards, and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions. This includes identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance user experience and business outcomes.

· Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility across the BTFE mobile app and related systems. This involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

· Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can be leveraged to improve the performance of the BTFE mobile application. This includes using statistical methods and data visualization techniques to communicate findings effectively.

· Stay abreast of the latest advancements in mobile app development, data analytics, and marketing technology to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. This includes researching new technologies and methodologies to enhance the capabilities of the BTFE mobile app.

· Proactively identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data quality and accuracy across all systems. This includes developing and implementing data governance processes to maintain data integrity.

· Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. This includes presenting findings, recommendations, and progress reports to stakeholders at all levels.

· Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and support. This includes sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning.

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines and achieve objectives. This includes using project management methodologies to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university
  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis, with a minimum of 3 years of experience working directly on mobile application development projects. Experience should demonstrate a strong understanding of the mobile app development lifecycle.
  • Experience in a large, complex organization including teams with multiple geographies and across business and technology teams
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions using various tools and technologies.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques, with the ability to create compelling and informative dashboards and reports.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with A/B testing, audience segmentation, and personalization use cases
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, Design Principles, and Cloud
  • Exposure to Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Email Marketing, System Integration, and Data Forms
  • Proficiency in SQL and other data manipulation languages.
