Function Overview

The Finance organization partners across General Mills to provide financial expertise to guide and govern the company. We bring a distinctive skill set to help the company sustainably drive strong returns on investment, whether that’s brand investments, capital investments or resource investments. Purpose of the role

Support the Global Emerging Markets (GEMS) business with the end-to-end planning process (PEAK), helping to enable consistent profitable growth. Be an SME in financial forecasting and ensure each cycle submissions are complete and accurate. Provide stakeholders with insightful reporting & analysis. Be the expert in the financial systems, forecast tools and document flows, while always ensuring strong compliance with internal controls.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Submission of Financial Forecast and PEAK support:- 50%

  • Assist in preparation and consolidation of data for financial reporting and GPS
  • Review submissions for forecasting and budgeting process, managing plugs before finalisation
  • Ensuring a complete and accurate financial forecast is submitted, using vol from Demand team, collaboration with cross function teams
  • Assisting with the compilation of decks for each Peak monthly meetings
  • Provide support on various ad-hoc financial requests from management and senior FA/SFAs
  • International MBR deck preparation
  • Presence in MBR , MOM tracking for MBRs and follow up on action points
  • Key contact for Market Finance Lead

Reporting and Analysis (BAU+ Ad hoc): 50%

  • Preparing and distributing actual business results to stakeholders
  • Detailed financial summary maintained and refreshed each month
  • Base level variances in numbers
  • Organising working files and managing hygiene
  • Call out Key discrepancies and movements vs plan/Fcst, deep dive analysis, Key drivers & business causals
  • Preparing Volume Mix Analysis, AOC. Diligent tracking for monthly MJs
  • Perform Scenario planning, ROI analysis, profitability analysis/trend analysis
  • Support for Admin Review
  • Close collaboration with finance teams and other functions for forecast consolidation Extended Support for SP cycle from developing templates, providing differential cuts analysis and business commentaries, decks presented to the Leadership Team (LT)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education – CA/MBA Finance
  • Experience needed to support expected role- 5-9 years

Expected Additional skills over current capability

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/ Power Query- BI/Microsoft Power point/BPC-SAP
  • Passionate and self driven, learning mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, Storytelling capability
  • Problem solving skills, team player, attention to detail, agile and able to multi-task, End- end ownership
  • Needs to be a strong partner to both market finance and cross functional teams.
