Selected candidate will execute new technologies role into existing plant process.

The Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of LMS execution engineers to implement safety, ergonomics, throughput, quality, and cost improvements in our assembly and GPS sites. This role will be focused on manufacturing optimization project execution across many sites. This role is well suited to someone who has natural leadership aptitude, experience solving people and equipment prob5lems. As a Materials Execution lead, you will collaborate frequently with the Plants, Automation suppliers, ME, Production, Quality and Maintenance Teams.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Develop a proactive safety culture by engaging team members and peers in our safety processes.

  • Lead a team of LMS manufacturing optimization execution engineers

  • Execute LMS automation projects in Assembly & GPS sites.

  • Oversight for G-Risks, RYG buyoffs, factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing

  • Coordinate projects pull ahead activities

  • Lessons learned read across for future projects and other sites.

  • Develop the plants operational strategy for a fully optimized operation with the leadership team

  • Identifying any areas of concern that could impact the performance of team members

  • Resolving any employee conflicts quickly and efficiently

  • Providing hands-on direction for all activities and projects

  • Communicating any pertinent information regarding project timelines, goals, or objectives to team members

  • Maximizing productivity by scheduling available staff members to the appropriate shift or project

  • Guide and mentor, the technical development of team.

  • Performance management responsibilities for reporting engineers.

  • Travel to sites for planning and execution of LMS automation projects

  • Review and approve Shopping Carts.

  • Plan and manage all projects for your LMS execution engineers

  • Review initiatives and open issues.

  • Assume technical work as needed.

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working within automative manufacturing sites

  • Experience leading a technical team.

  • Experience executing manufacturing equipment installation projects within automotive manufacturing sites

  • Strong technical capability working with industrial electrical systems regulations, design and maintenance, automation and controls systems.

  • Demonstrated technical project management experience.

  • General knowledge of Automotive Assembly application and operations.

  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple issues in a fast paced work environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD.
