Work Arrangement:
This role is based remotely, but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, Milford or Mountain View, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role:
GM’s People Analytics CoE is looking for a People Analytics Consultant for Talent Acquisition to join its People Analytics Consulting team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering actionable, business-driven people insights that inform strategic talent decisions, improve organization effectiveness, and drive positive employee experience. Your strong consulting and analytical skills, ability to translate data into actionable insights and a very good understanding of HR data will help us advance our analytics capabilities and enable data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Support complex analytics projects and provide ongoing consulting support to assigned TA stakeholder groups (Field TA, Recruitment Delivery Leaders, DEI, Sourcing, Recruitment Marketing, etc.) on data driven insights, project ROI and recommendations by leveraging our tools, data, and external research
- Identify and provide key insights and recommendations around recruitment effectiveness and efficiency, hiring process, internal and external labor markets, workforce and talent planning, talent pipelines, competitive insights etc.
- Develop relationships within your assigned stakeholder groups to understand their business challenges and respond through various analytics products (e.g., data storytelling briefings, executive presentations, recommendations, reports, and dashboards)
- Leverage existing data and analytics tools (Workday, PowerBI, TA tools, direct query, etc.) to answer TA related questions
- Develop actionable recommendations and support your stakeholders through implementation of these recommendations
- Lead cross-functional projects (e.g., Data storytelling for TA, TA Analytics Community of Practice)
- Drive adoption and usage of People Analytics solutions. Help gather requirements for analytics solutions roadmap and future enhancements
- Work with partners in TA, People Analytics, HROS, and IT to improve data collection processes and data quality, enhance existing reports and data sources
- Provide requirements for Workday reports enhancements & new reports design
- Question assumptions on current operations and why things are done in certain ways and make improvement recommendations
Additional Job Description
Requirements:
- 5+ years of client-facing People Analytics experience with significant focus on providing Talent Acquisition Analytics Consulting support
- Highly data-driven, consultative, passionate about data storytelling, a great communicator who can use data and analytics technology to solve business problems and influence executive stakeholders
- Strong understanding of Talent Acquisition data, market intelligence, and TA delivery processes (e.g., talent acquisition, requisition/candidate management, quality of hire, workforce planning, sourcing, funnel analysis, recruitment marketing, etc.)
- Strong data analytics skills and ability to leverage multiple internal and external data sources to enable data-driven insights and inform strategic talent decisions
- Experience working with and building reports with data extracted from various Talent Acquisition tools including Workday. Familiarity with Workday TA data structure is required.
- Familiarity with inferential statistics techniques (e.g., correlation, regression) and how they apply to various business challenges
- Degree with quantitative focus (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial and Organizational Psychology) and/or degree in Human Resources is a plus
- Experience using Power BI, SQL, R, Python for data analysis and visualizations is a plus
Compensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is $98,900 - $158,000 USD Annually.
- Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
