Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Technical Center or the Mountain View Tech Center in Warren, MI or Mountain View, CA, three times per week, at minimum.
The Role:
The Commercial Software PMO is one of five functions working together to deliver software products that leverage vehicle data, AI, and modern cloud-based solutions to improve fleet driver and manager experiences and reduce the cost of fleet ownership. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to strengthen our Commercial Software program team. As a Commercial Software Program Manager, you will work with cross-functional partners in engineering, design, product, and business teams to develop and execute plans that enable quality launches of our features and products to GM’s fleet and business customers.
What you'll do:
- Ensure that all business deliverables are identified and accounted for in the project plan with responsibility and due dates.
- Continuously monitor and report on project status.
- Manage the identification, documentation, and traceability of business requirements.
- Investigate and document complex business processes.
- Prepare presentations for various levels of leadership.
- Coordinate the input and approval of various project design and decision documents.
- Provide guidance and support during execution of change management activities.
- Develop tracking scorecards and metrics to illustrate status and ownership.
- Develop milestone reviews for key milestones and ensure the team is on track to deliver.
- Track business resources and identify any shortages based on project plans.
- Align cross-functional business and technical teams to help ensure alignment of goals and to help resolve conflicting priorities.
- Assist Workstream Leaders in managing multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business, and organizational units.
- Monitor project progress and consolidate status reports.
- Gain an understanding of program workstreams/projects to assist in the identification of issues and risks.
Additional Job Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
5+ years of project/program management or related experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
Experience leading projects with technical and non-technical teams
Experience defining, documenting, and providing guidance on processes
Proven success working with all levels of management
Experience developing and maintaining partnerships with third-party resources
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
MBA
PMP Certification
Experience managing enterprise software programs and complex technical systems

- The salary range for this role is 111,000 to 171,200. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
