Job Description
Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.
The Role
In this role, you will serve as Finance partner to Human Resources and Labor Relations with timely and relevant reporting and analysis that drives the most informed business decisions. The Senior Analyst will have areas of responsibility including labor strategy finance including competitive benchmarking, UAW contract costing and special labor projects involving employment cost. In addition, the Senior Analyst will be responsibility for various employment cost analysis responsibilities as needed
What You'll Do
Execute all the primary functions of ECA & Labor Strategy Finance – planning, budgeting, advising, analyzing, presenting, and deciding
Develop and present insights and well thought out recommendations to leaders
Develop and utilize financial modeling techniques to evaluate risks and opportunities
Solve problems and develop new methods of analysis to streamline decision making
Seek out and correct inconsistent data; find and fix root cause of inconsistencies, understand the drivers
Collaborate and coordinate information flow with other staffs and business units for optimal corporate decisions
Learn and partner with the Human Resources and Labor Relations
Present to GM Senior Management and communicate key issues for action/decision (“the 30 second rule”)
Provide accurate, timely, and reliable reporting and controls

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related
3+ years of financial experience
Knowledge of corporate finance principles including ability to perform balance sheet analysis, income statement analysis, cash flow statement analysis, etc.
Experience with common financial tools: ROI, NPV
Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
Strong modeling and financial valuation skills
Familiarity with accounting principles

5+ years of financial experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to coordinate and manage tasks within a broader project

Ability to relate project with business objectives and results, integrate with business purpose
Teamwork/Leadership Skills – ability to work with people within and outside group
