Job Description

Interact across organizations to ensure features and functions are integrated effectively into the vehicle and implement new features and functions. Responsible for the Phone Integration into the Infotainment System. Identify, communicate, and deliver on Phone Integration roadmap. Manage Certification of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Manage Phone Dialer Application Feature in collaboration with Software and UX Teams. Lead development of global engineering requirements for Phone Integration. Support tier 1 and 2 developments of the Phone and Device technologies into GM products. Lead advanced development work in the Phone Integration domain. Build and maintain relationships across the Phone Integration ecosystem community including Partner collaboration (Apple, Google, Samsung, etc.). Lead Cross-Functional Feature Development Teams (system engineers & other key stakeholders). Feature Performance Requirements including KPI (Key Performance Indicators). Determine Feature Set and Sizing Recommendations. Perform System Modelling Tool Requirements. Allocate System Requirements for Feature. Responsible for System DFMEA/Fault Tree Analysis. Drive Validation and Verification plan for feature(s). Stay abreast of new technology and competitive products. Hybrid Work Available - 3 Days In-office, 2 Days Remote - Must be able to report to local office.





Additional Job Description

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study and 3 years of experience as a Product Manager, Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related role. Three years of experience with: Wired and Wireless Connectivity technologies (USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy, Near Field Communication, and Phone Integration (Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Baidu CarLife, etc.); Automotive infotainment system operation; Embedded automotive modules; Bluetooth profiles including HFP, AVRCP, A2DP, PBAP, and MAP, CarPlay protocol analyzer (ATS), and Wi-Fi; Writing and comprehending software and hardware requirements in Doors; Conducting initial analysis of software bugs, providing input to development teams, and analyze and give feedback on POC patches; and Identifying and resolving interoperability issues by collaborating with third-party vendors and analyzing system logs. Two years of experience with: Android and Linux systems, with expertise in analyzing bugs in passenger vehicle infotainment systems; and Using Jenkins, Jira, Jira Align Confluence, Power BI, Vector CANalyzer, Vector CANoe, Vehicle spy, Tera Term, ATS, USB beagle, DPS, SQLite browser and Bluetooth Sniffer tools within infotainment. One year of experience with: Analyzing Bluetooth Over the Air (OTA) logs and performing Wi-Fi throughput testing and ATS logs; Embedded and offboard voice recognition systems on Center Stack Modules; and Tracking, analyzing, and validating system issues to ensure and improve product quality.
