Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting projects involving due diligence with substantial historical research including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments;
  • Ordering, receiving and reviewing database reports in support of Phase I ESA projects;
  • Scheduling, coordinating and conducting site visits for Phase I ESA projects;
  • Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals; and,
  • Developing task, project, and client management skills.
  • Experience preparing environmental compliance reports (e.g., annual air emissions inventory reports, hazardous waste generator’s reports, SARA 312 Tier II reports, Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reports, etc.) and environmental Plans (e.g., Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), etc.). (preferred)
  • Actively contributing to the company-wide efforts to gain more environmental / EHS compliance services and advancing the practice.
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science (geology or hydrology), environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree (M.S.) in a related field. (preferred)
  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or similar professional certification in your field. (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Prior experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER trained (required)
  • Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization. New H-1B visa lottery and employment based green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
