This role is ideal for someone looking to continue developing his/her analytical and client-facing skills in delivering investment solutions to insurance companies. Sitting at the intersection of investment strategy, regulatory capital management and business development, you will work directly with senior LPM’s and clients to drive investment results. You will ensure investment portfolios are optimized for both risk-adjusted returns and capital efficiency while identifying new investment opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • SAA & Portfolio Construction: Develop and implement bespoke Strategic Asset Allocation frameworks that account for insurance-specific constraints, including Solvency II considerations, return-on-capital requirement needs and risk parameters.
  • Client Engagement: Contribute to providing best-in-class client service by delivering amongst others presentation materials, analytics, market insights and investment reports as well as participating in client meetings.
  • Thought Leadership & Content: Collaborate with internal research and other teams to produce high-impact investment content, including quarterly commentaries and market-driven thought leadership research.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work together closely with colleagues to contribute to the delivery of responses to commercial opportunities including RFIs, RFPs and site-visits.

COMPETENCIES

  • Presence: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with insurers and senior stakeholders.
  • Investment Judgment: Ability to demonstrate sound investment logic and adapt to rapidly changing market conditions.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: A proactive approach to identifying platform enhancements and business growth initiatives.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across global teams in The Hague, London, and New York.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in multi-asset investing, investment strategy or actuarial consulting. Proven experience in a client-facing or commercially-oriented role within the insurance market is highly preferred.

  • Commercial Mindset: Ability to identify business opportunities and to transform these into new business.
  • Education: Master’s degree in a quantitative, economic or actuarial field.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch is a significant advantage given the local client base.
