About Our Roles

Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Director to lead the development and delivery of business strategy training and practice management programs for our third party private wealth manager clients across the Asia Pacific region. This role is critical in empowering Relationship Managers and leadership teams at our clients to build and scale high-performing practices, ultimately strengthening their partnerships with Goldman Sachs and driving mutual growth.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in localizing and enhancing our global training initiatives, ensuring relevance and impact within the diverse APAC markets. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the professional development of leading wealth managers and contribute to the strategic expansion of GSAM’s presence in the region.

The ideal candidate will also have experience in providing executive coaching and leadership training for Chief Investment Officers (CIOs) and next-generation leaders within institutional clients (e.g., Sovereign Wealth Funds, pension funds) clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the APAC rollout, localization, and evolution of GSAM’s global business strategy and practice management curriculum across private wealth and institutional client segments, ensuring local relevance and global consistency. This includes working closely with the US and Europe-based teams to ensure global consistency while tailoring for local relevance.
  • Lead high‑impact workshops, large‑format trainings, and seminars for private wealth managers across private banking, mass affluent, and bancassurance channels.
  • Design and execute scalable train‑the‑trainer programs to enable internal and external facilitators across the region.
  • Partner with product teams, Investor Relations, and subject matter experts to develop tailored, market‑relevant content translated into actionable client insights.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, regional leadership, and internal sales teams, and define metrics to measure program effectiveness, advisor growth, and client engagement.
  • Deliver executive coaching and leadership development programs for CIOs and senior leaders within institutional client organizations, including sovereign wealth funds and pension funds.

Qualifications

  • 10 - 15+ years of experience in financial services with deep exposure to private wealth management and/or asset management. Wealth management and / or institutional client experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in learning & development, practice management, or advisory consulting, including executive‑level delivery.
  • Strong understanding of wealth management business models, advisor growth strategies, and institutional client structures.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and executive‑level communication skills; comfortable with large audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex curricula and cross‑regional initiatives.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese (spoken and written) is required, given the need to deliver executive level training and coaching to regional private wealth manager clients and senior leadership teams across Greater China markets, and to localise global training content for regional relevance.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP, CPWA) preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across APAC.
